National Trust Party (Malaysia)
The National Trust Party (AMANAH; ms, Parti Amanah Negara), is a registered political party in Malaysia advocating a reformist strand of political Islam. The party was founded as the Malaysia Workers' Party before being handed over in August 2015 to Gerakan Harapan Baru, a group of progressive Islamist leaders of the Pan-Malaysian Islamic Party which lost in the June 2015 party election. This group of Islamists then redefined the Malaysia Workers' Party as an Islamic reformist party on 16 September 2015. The party currently has eight elected Members of Parliament. It is one of the four component parties of the ruling coalition in Malaysia called Pakatan Harapan. Mohamad Sabu
Mohamad bin Sabu ( Jawi: محمد بن سابو), commonly known as Mat Sabu, is a Malaysian politician who has served as the Minister of Agriculture and Food Security in the Pakatan Harapan (PH) administration under Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim since November 2022 and Minister of Defence in the PH administration under former Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad from May 2018 to the collapse of the PH administration in February 2020. He has served as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Kota Raja since May 2018, Kuala Kedah from November 1999 to March 2004, Kubang Kerian from April 1995 to November 1999 and Nilam Puri from October 1990 to April 1995. The Dewan Negara (English language, English: Senate; Literal translation, lit. "State Council") is the upper house of the Parliament of Malaysia, consisting of 70 senators of whom 26 are elected by the State legislative assemblies of Malaysia, state legislative assemblies, with two senators for each state, while the other 44 are appointed by the Yang di-Pertuan Agong (King), including four who are appointed to represent the Federal Territories (Malaysia), federal territories. The ''Dewan Negara'' usually reviews legislation that has been passed by the lower house, the ''Dewan Rakyat''. All bills must usually be passed by both the ''Dewan Rakyat'' and the ''Dewan Negara'' (the Senate), before they are sent to the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, King for royal assent. The Malaysian Islamic Party (PAS; ms, Parti Islam Se-Malaysia; ms, ڤرتي إسلام سمليسيا, label=Jawi alphabet, Jawi, script=arab, italic=unset) is an Islamist political party in Malaysia. Gerakan Harapan Baru
The New Hope Movement ( ms, Gerakan Harapan Baru) or simply known as GHB, was a social movement in Malaysia. The movement was launched by G18 led by former PAS deputy president Mohamad Sabu at a hotel in downtown Kuala Lumpur on 13 July 2015. The G18 is the former moderate and progressive leaders of PAS who were ousted from senior position earlier at the party's 2015 PAS Muktamar.
