The National Premier Leagues WA Women, also known as the NPL WA Women, is a soccer competition in Western Australia. The competition is conducted by Football West, the organising body in Western Australia. The league is a subdivision of the second tier National Premier Leagues Women's structure, which sits below the national W-League, it is the highest tier of local women's competition in Western Australia. The league was founded in 2020 in Western Australia, several years behind equivalent leagues in other states. Australian Football League System
The Australian soccer league system is the league structure for soccer clubs in Australia. The league system in Australia since 1977 has involved one top divisional league controlled by Football Australia and many leagues run within each state below. The National Soccer League stood from 1977 to 2004 as the top nationwide tier above the current state-based league systems, in 2005, the A-League was established as its successor. The introduction of the National Premier Leagues in 2013 introduced a direct second tier of soccer in Australia, underpinning the A-League. The National Premier Leagues incorporated the existing state leagues as divisions with a nationwide end of season finals series. Football West National Training Centre
Football West National Training Centre, simply known as FW NTC, is a soccer academy based in Perth, Western Australia. History The academy was established by Football West in conjunction with FFA and the WA Department of Sport and Recreation in 2006 to operate as an establishment where young players could be assisted to prepare for the game at the highest level. The boys' team played in the Football West State League in 2012 and 2013, however did not play for points. They also participated in the FFA State Institute Challenge. The boys' program was replaced by the Perth Glory NPL program in 2014. Balcatta Etna Football Club is an Australian semi-professional soccer club based in Balcatta, Perth, Western Australia. They compete in the National Premier Leagues Western Australia.
