The National Band of the Carabineros () sometines referred to as the Orfeón Nacional is the public police band (music), police band of the Carabineros de Chile, the national police force of the Republic of Chile. It is generally seen as the premiere representative marching band of the force, performing at state occasions. At the command of the band is Colonel David Ormeño Sepúlveda. La Moneda Palace Guard (Spanish: ''Guardia de Palacio de la Moneda'') is the ceremonial escort to the President of Chile and also assists with physical security at La Moneda Palace. It is an operational component of the Carabineros de Chile. History The earliest recorded instance of a force of guards for the executive residence was during the government of Manuel Bulnes in 1851. The Escuadrilla de Bandas () also known as the Chilean Air Force Band () is a musical unit of the Chilean Air Force that brings together the military musicians of the Institution and that together with the Halcones, the Blue Berets and the Glider Squadron.
