Escuadrilla De Bandas
The Escuadrilla de Bandas () also known as the Chilean Air Force Band () is a musical unit of the Chilean Air Force that brings together the military musicians of the Institution and that together with the Halcones, the Blue Berets and the Glider Squadron. They make up the Group of Presentations of the Chilean Air Force. History The band service was created on 16 June 1934, in the then "El Bosque" Anti-Aircraft Artillery Group, just four years after the creation of the National Air Force. The management of the squadron was entrusted to Commander Osvaldo Puccio Guzmán. The band was founded with only 16 musicians and its first director was First Sergeant Enrique Pacheco García, who later held the position of Captain of the band service. A military band is a group of personnel that performs musical duties for military functions, usually for the armed forces. A typical military band consists mostly of wind and percussion instruments. The conductor of a band commonly bears the title of Bandmaster or Director of Music. Ottoman military bands are thought to be the oldest variety of military marching bands in the world, dating from the 13th century. Royal Canadian Air Force Band
The Royal Canadian Air Force Band (RCAF Band) () is a 35-member military band which represents the Royal Canadian Air Force in the Canadian Armed Forces. Currently located at Canadian Forces Base Winnipeg, the RCAF Band provides musical accompaniment for ceremonies of the RCAF in Canada. The band is presently under the command of Captain Chris Embree. History In 1946, Carl Friberg, a wartime bandmaster working as a public relations representative in Vancouver, was invited to form a professional band for the RCAF No.2 Training Command in Winnipeg. It became operational the next year and was transferred to Edmonton as the North West Air Command Band. The United States Air Force Band is a U.S. military band consisting of 184 active-duty members of the United States Air Force. It is the Air Force's premier musical organization and is based at Bolling Air Force Base, Washington, D.C.. APEC Chile 2019 would have been an Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) series of meetings in Chile.
