Nathaniel Gutman
Nathaniel Gutman (born December 15, 1954) is an Israeli-American filmmaker, best known for directing ''Deadline'', starring Christopher Walken, and the TV movie ''Linda'', starring Virginia Madsen. Early life and education Gutman was born in Jerusalem, Israel to Jewish immigrants from Berlin.Karp, Jonathan, and Adam Sutcliffe, eds. Philosemitism in History. Natalia Wörner (; born 7 September 1967) is a German actress. Biography After finishing high school in Stuttgart, Wörner moved to New York City, where she studied acting at Lee Strasberg's Actors Studio. In 2000, she returned to Germany, where she won a German television award, the Deutscher Fernsehpreis, for best leading actress. She served on the award’s jury in 2001 and 2002. In 2009, Wörner played the role of Ellen in the TV miniseries ''The Pillars of the Earth'', based on the eponymous book by Ken Follett. Maria Matray (born Maria Charlotte Stern; 14 July 1907 – 30 October 1993) was a German screenwriter and film actress. Matray became a star of late Weimar cinema. Biography Following the Nazi takeover in 1933, Matray, who was Jewish, went into exile – initially in France and Britain before moving to the United States. She developed a new career as a choreographer and writer. She later returned to Germany after the Second World War, where she died in 1993. Maria Matray was born in Niederschönhausen. Thomas Dworzak
Thomas Dworzak (born 1972) is a German photographer. He has produced a number of books and is a member of Magnum Photos. He was President of Magnum from 2017 until 2020. Dworzak won a World Press Photo award in 2001 and in 2018 received the Hood Medal from the Royal Photographic Society in the UK. Life and work Dworzak was born in Kötzting, Germany and grew up in Cham in the Bavarian Forest. He decided to become a photographer at an early age, traveling to Northern Ireland, Israel, Palestine, and Yugoslavia while still in high school. Dworzak lived in Tbilisi, Georgia, from 1993 until 1998 where he documented the conflicts in Chechnya, Karabakh and Abkhazia. Whilst there he worked on a project about the Caucasus region and its people, the impact years of war had on the region, and the interplay between Russian literature and the typical imagery of the Caucasus.
