Nasida Ria
Nasida Ria is an Indonesian qasidah modern musical group consisting of 9 women from Semarang, Central Java. Nasida Ria was led by H. Mudrikah Zain but is now managed by Choliq Zain. Established in 1975, it is one of the oldest qasidah modern musical groups in Indonesia. History In 1975, Nasida Ria was founded in Semarang, Central Java, by HM Zain, a teacher of qira'at (how to read the Qur'an); Zain had previously had experience with the mixed-gender group Assabab. He assembled nine of his students for the band: Mudrikah Zain, Mutoharoh, Rien Jamain, Umi Kholifah, Musyarofah, Nunung, Alfiyah, Kudriyah, and Nur Ain. Initially, the group only used the rebana to provide music. Later, then-mayor of Semarang and fan of the group Iman Soeparto Tjakrajoeda donated an Organ (music), organ to aid the group, which also facilitated their musical studies. Santri
In Indonesia, ''santri'' is a term for someone who follows Islamic religious education in ''pesantren'' (Islamic boarding schools). Santri usually stay in the place until their education is complete. After completing their study period, some of them will serve the ''pesantren'' by becoming administrators. According to C.C. Berg, the term "santri" comes from Sanskrit ''shastri'' which means "one who learns Hindu scriptures"; it has the same root as the word ''shastra'' (literature). Starting in 2015, October 22 is designated as the National Santri Day (''Hari Santri Nasional'') in Indonesia. Rabbani is a quasi-traditional Malaysia-based nasheed group and currently consisted 8 members. Best known as a nasyid group that adds more modern aspects to its music. Therefore, making it sound less like a wall percussion. History Early beginnings and debut Rabbani originally debuted on March 1, 1997 with 13 members and led by vocalist, Mohammed Asri Ibrahim. Their first album, a self-titled affair released in 1997 was a success, selling more than 90,000 copies. Their songs such as ''Assalamualaikum,'' ''Munajat'' and ''Solla Alaikallah'' becomes popular. Raihan (derived from the Arabic word ''Rayḥān'' ( ar, رَيـحَـان), "Fragrance of Heaven") is a Malaysian nasheed group originally composed of five members that became popular in Malaysia with the release of their debut album ''Puji-Pujian'' in October 1996. The group's original line-up comprised Nazrey Johani, Che Amran Idris, Abu Bakar Md Yatim, Amran Ibrahim, and Azhari Ahmad as the leader. Kris Dayanti Trenggono (born 24 March 1975), often written mononymously as Krisdayanti (or shortened as KD), is an Indonesian singer and actress. Suara Merdeka (''Voice of Freedom'') is a daily newspaper in Indonesia based in Semarang, Central Java. It was established by H. Hetami and the first edition was published on 11 February 1950. History ''Suara Merdeka'' was founded by H. Hetami, who also became chief editor, on 11 February 1950.
