Nabi Khazri
Nabi Alekber oghlu Babayev ( az, Nəbi Ələkbər oğlu Babayev; December 10, 1924 – January 15, 2007), better known as Nabi Khazri ( az, Nəbi Xəzri), was an Azerbaijani poet, playwright, publicist, translator and screenwriter. Biography Nabi Khazri was born on December 10, 1924, in the village of Khirdalan to a merchant family. His father, Karbalai Alekber Baba oghlu (1873–1933) was a merchant. Khazri graduated from secondary school and began his career. After participating in the Second World War in 1942–1943, he worked as editor at the editorial office of the "Communist" newspaper in 1943–1945 and worked as broadcaster at "Azerbaijan radio". At the age of 20 he was invited to the Union of Writers by Samad Vurgun. He studied at Azerbaijan State University in 1945–1947, at Leningrad State University in 1947–1949, and Maxim Gorky Literature Institute in 1949–1952. Xırdalan
Xırdalan () is a city, municipality and the capital of the Absheron District of Azerbaijan. It has a population of 95,200. Khyrdalan is home of country's biggest brewery ''Baltika Baku'', previously known as Khyrdalan . A monument to Egyptian president Hosni Mubarak was erected in 2007 in the city. Similarly, a statue of Heydar Aliyev was erected in Cairo in 2008. In the wake of the 2011 Egyptian protests, the Azerbaijani opposition, led by the Musavat Party, demanded the demolition of the statue, calling it a "worship of idols". On 8 June 2011, the statue was taken down following Mubarak's resignation. On 29 November 2006, the settlement gained city status after its approval by the National Assembly of Azerbaijan. Piruz Dilanchi
Pirouz Dilanchi ( az, Piruz Dilənçi; born Ali Ismayilfiruz, علی اسماعیل فیروز; May 1965 in Tehran, Iran) is an Iranian-Azerbaijani separatist leader. He has also written multiple poems and is the author of eight books in Azerbaijani and Persian. Biography Dilanchi's scientific, literary, social, and political articles have been published in publications such as Yeni Musavat, Keyhan, Azadliq, 525-ci qezet, Edebiyyat ve Incesenet, Ettelaat in Iran and Azerbaijan. He was purportedly arrested and tortured for his views and for participating in left-wing organizations by the Iranian government after the revolution. He then fled to the Azerbaijani SSR in 1990 to escape persecution. He is currently a Canadian citizen and lives in Toronto, Canada. Istiglal Order ( az, Istiqlal ordeni), is the highest supreme order of the Republic of Azerbaijan, along with Heydar Aliyev Order. presented by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Istiglal means ''Sovereignty'' in Azerbaijani. The Order of Lenin (russian: Орден Ленина, Orden Lenina, ), named after the leader of the Russian October Revolution, was established by the Central Executive Committee on April 6, 1930. The order was the highest civilian decoration bestowed by the Soviet Union.
