NHSRCL
The National High Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL) has been incorporated since 2016 to manage the High Speed Rail Corridor in India. It is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Indian Railways, Ministry of Railways, Government of India. NHSRCL was formed under the Companies Act, 2013. The objective of this body is the development and implementation of the high-speed rail projects in India. The corporation is a ‘Special Purpose Vehicle’ (SPV) in the joint sector with equity participation of the Ministry of Railways, Government of India and two State Governments - Gujarat and the Maharashtra. High-speed Rail In India
Indian Railways is currently improving their existing conventional lines to handle speeds of up to , and with certain improved corridors seeing speeds of more than . Also, a total of twelve corridors are planned and one of the corridors which links Mumbai and Ahmedabad is under construction. As of 2022, the fastest train in India is the Vande Bharat Express with a top speed of , while the fastest operating train is the Gatimaan Express with a top operating speed of . The first high-speed railway corridor of length 508 km is currently under construction between Mumbai and Ahmedabad at a top operational speed of along the western coast. Diamond Quadrilateral
The Diamond Quadrilateral is a project of the Indian Railways to establish a high-speed rail network in India. The Diamond Quadrilateral will connect the four mega cities of India, viz. Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Chennai, similar to the Golden Quadrilateral highway system. High-speed train on Mumbai-Ahmedabad section will be the first high-speed train corridor to be implemented in the country. Bilimora is a city situated on the banks of the river Ambika River, Ambika, in Gandevi taluka & Navsari district of Gujarat state, in India. Dadra And Nagar Haveli
Dadra and Nagar Haveli is a district of the union territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu in western India.
