NAT Group
Adventure Travel (stylised as Adventuretravel; formerly NAT Group and New Adventure Travel) is a bus and coach company in South Wales. It is a subsidiary of ComfortDelGro. History Established in 2008 with four buses, Adventure Travel has now grown to have over 100 buses and coaches in its fleet from May 2020 - with most buses being second-hand from London. Adventure Travel purchased Humphrey's Coaches of Pontypridd in 2011, and has since purchased the businesses of VR Travel of Merthyr Tydfil in October 2013 and Select Local Bus of Neath in 2015. In February 2018 the business was purchased by ComfortDelGro. Adam Keen of Damory Coaches was appointed managing director of New Adventure Travel. It was confirmed in late 2019 that the business is being progressively rebranded to Adventure Travel - with the coaching side of the business being rebranded to Adventure Coachlines. First Cymru is an operator of bus services in South West Wales. It is a subsidiary of FirstGroup with its headquarters in Swansea. History In 1987, South Wales Transport was sold during the privatisation of the National Bus Company in a management buy out. In February 1990, along with Brewers Motor Services and United Welsh Coaches, South Wales Transport was sold to Badgerline. All initially retained their trading names but following Badgerline merging with GRT Group in April 1995 to form FirstBus, all Welsh operations were rebranded as First Cymru. Blackwood Interchange
Blackwood Interchange ( cy, Cyfnewidfa Coed Duon) is a bus station located in the town centre of Blackwood, Caerphilly, South Wales. It is situated on Gordon Road adjacent to the High Street. Background The existing Blackwood Bus Station redeveloped by Caerphilly County Borough Council in 2007. The project cost an approximate £2.4 million. During development, traders in the town centre voiced concerns that "customers will be put off walking through the market when contractors move in" however Councillors reassured concerned individuals with the prospect of a reduction in the business rate for affected businesses. rail linc ( cy, linc trên) is a brand name applied to routes formerly operating under the now-defunct South East Wales Transport Alliance- but now operating under NAT Group. History In a number of cases, the services were set up sometime after rail services to the villages were axed as part of Dr Beeching's rationalisation of the British Rail network; however some services provide a link to villages that never had a railway station. Many Rail Linc routes have been withdrawn due to low ridership. When the South East Wales Transport Alliance stood down, control of routes passed over to councils to manage and put out to tender. The Mercedes-Benz Tourismo (formerly designated as the Mercedes-Benz O 350) is an integral coach manufactured by Mercedes-Benz since 1994. It was initially introduced as the successor of low-cost variant presented in year 1992 ( O340) to the more luxurious Mercedes-Benz O404 and is produced at Mercedes-Benz bus plant in Hoşdere, Istanbul, Turkey. In 2006 a revised version was launched. By 2014, 21,000 had been sold. First generation - 1994-2006 As the successor of O340, the O350 was unveiled at Hannover International Motor show in year 1994. Its exterior design is still based on O303, however its chassis no longer comes from O303 like its predecessor, but from O404 instead. Brecon
Brecon (; cy, Aberhonddu; ), archaically known as Brecknock, is a market town in Powys, mid Wales. In 1841, it had a population of 5,701. The population in 2001 was 7,901, increasing to 8,250 at the 2011 census. Swansea Bus Station
Swansea City bus station is a bus station serving Swansea, Wales. It lies immediately to the west of the Quadrant Shopping Centre. The station has 20 stands for local bus services with three more serving national coach services. Coach services operated by National Express run westward to Llanelli, Carmarthen, and Haverfordwest and eastward to London, Birmingham, Cardiff, Bristol, as well as Heathrow Airport and Gatwick Airport. There is also a fast daytime service (First Cymru X10) connecting the bus station to Bridgend Designer Outlet and Cardiff city centre hourly (every 90 to 105 minutes on Sundays).
