Nørdre Svarthaugen
Nørdre Svarthaugen or Nordre Svarthaugen is a mountain in Skjåk Municipality in Innlandet county, Norway. The tall mountain is located in the Tafjordfjella mountains and inside the Reinheimen National Park, about northwest of the village of Bismo. The mountain is surrounded by several other notable mountains including Løyfthøene and Buakollen to the northeast, Skarvedalseggen to the north, and Stamåhjulet to the northwest. Innlandet
Innlandet is a county in Norway. It was created on 1 January 2020 with the merger of the old counties of Oppland and Hedmark (the municipalities of Jevnaker and Lunner were transferred to the neighboring county of Viken on the same date). The new county has an area of , making it the second largest county in Norway after Troms og Finnmark county. The county name translates to "The Inland" which reflects that the county is the only landlocked county in Norway. The county covers approximately 17% of the total area of the mainland area of Norway. It stretches from the Viken county and the Oslo region in the south to Trøndelag county in the north. Tafjordfjella
Tafjordfjella or Tafjordfjellene ( en, The Tafjord mountains) is a mountain range in Møre og Romsdal and Innlandet counties, Norway. It is located in the municipalities of Fjord Municipality, Fjord, Stranda Municipality, Stranda, Rauma Municipality, Rauma, and Skjåk Municipality, Skjåk. The area takes its name from the village of Tafjord and the Tafjorden, the main entry point. The highest peaks are Puttegga at , Karitinden at , Tordsnose at , and Høgstolen at . Lakes in the area include Tordsvatnet, Veltdalsvatnet, Zakariasdammen, and Grønvatnet. Part of the range is included inside Reinheimen National Park. The Norwegian Trekking Association has the cabins called Reindalsseter, Pyttbua, Veltdalshytta, Vakkerstøylen, and Danskehytta. The western part of the area has since 1923 been extensively developed for hydro-electric power production by the Tafjord Kraft company. Skjåk Municipality
Skjåk is a municipality in Innlandet county, Norway. It is located in the traditional district of Gudbrandsdal. The administrative centre of the municipality is the village of Bismo. Most of the municipal residents live in the Billingsdalen and Ottadalen valleys along the river Otta. The local newspaper is named ''Fjuken''. Reinheimen National Park
Reinheimen National Park ( no, Reinheimen nasjonalpark) is a national park in Norway that was established in 2006. The park consists of a continuous protected mountain area. It is located in Møre og Romsdal and Innlandet counties in Norway. The park includes parts of the municipalities of Lesja, Skjåk, Vågå, Lom, Fjord, and Rauma. The park consists of much of the Tafjordfjella mountain range as well as the reindeer habitat in the northern part of the Ottadalen valley. The park is one of the largest wilderness areas still intact in Western Norway. Much of the original alpine ecosystem, including wild reindeer, wolverines, golden eagles, gyr falcons, and ptarmigans, is still intact. The park is made up of numerous mountains and valleys. Bismo is the administrative centre of Skjåk municipality in Innlandet county, Norway. The village is located along the river Otta in the Ottadalen valley, about east of Grotli and about west of Fossbergom. The village has a population (2021) of 634 and a population density of .
