Nødlanding
''Emergency Landing'' ( no, Nødlanding) is a 1952 Norwegian war film directed by Arne Skouen. It was entered into the 1952 Cannes Film Festival. The film depicts the Norwegian resistance attempting to hide shot-down American aviators from the German occupation forces. Plot An American bomber is shot down on the Norwegian coast during World War II. The airmen bail out and land at different locations. In spite of the German search for them, the Norwegian resistance picks them up and hides them in the attic of the local church, a center of operations. Things become tense, however, when the hideout is spotted by a notorious collaborator, and soon the protagonist, Hans (Henki Kolstad), has to get the airmen to Sweden. 1952 Cannes Film Festival
The 5th Cannes Film Festival was held from 23 April to 10 May 1952. As in the previous three festivals, the entire jury of this festival was made up of French persons, with Maurice Genevoix as the Jury President. Randi Kolstad
Randi Kolstad (born Randi Ballestad, later known as Randi Borch, May 23, 1925 – October 6, 1999) was a Norwegian theater and screen actress. Kolstad made her film debut in 1951 in ''Kranes konditori''. She appeared in 14 films. She participated in preparing the script for the 1954 film ''Portrettet''. Family Randi Kolstad was the daughter of the associate professor Thor Ballestad (1891–1970) and Hjørdis Marie Ruud (1902–1973). She was married to the actor Lasse Kolstad from 1946 to 1955. She later married Hans Jacob Astrup Borch (1924–1996) and took the surname Borch. Arne Skouen
Arne Skouen (18 October 1913 – 24 May 2003) was a Norwegian journalist, author, film director and film producer. Biography Arne Skouen was born in Kristiania (now Oslo), Norway. His parents were Peder Nikolai Skouen (1883-1978) and Jenny Emanuelson (1883-1975). He graduated at Hegdehaugen School in 1933. He had three distinct career careers: journalist, author and filmmaker, partly at the same time. He was a journalist at ''Dagbladet'' from 1935 to 1941. From 1941 during World War II, Skouen was associated with the Norwegian Resistance Movement during the occupation of Norway by Nazi Germany. From 1943 to 1945, Skouen worked at the press office in Stockholm, London, and New York City. After the liberation of Norway at the end of World War II, he returned to ''Dagbladet'' as a columnist, serving from 1946 to 1947. He then worked at ''Verdens Gang'' from 1947 to 1957.
