The center (C), or the centre, also known as the five or the pivot, is one of the five Basketball position, positions in a regulation basketball game. The center is normally the tallest player on the team, and often has a great deal of strength and body mass as well. In the NBA, the center is typically close to tall. Shimane Susanoo Magic (島根スサノオマジック) is a Japanese professional basketball team in Japan's top-tier basketball competition, the B.League. The team is based in Shimane Prefecture with its home arena in Matsue City, but with a focus on playing games in the entire region. The head coach was Željko Pavličević who coached Japan at the World Championships in 2006. He was appointed in May 2010.
