Shimane Susanoo Magic
Shimane Susanoo Magic (島根スサノオマジック) is a Japanese professional basketball team in Japan's top-tier basketball competition, the B.League. The team is based in Shimane Prefecture with its home arena in Matsue City, but with a focus on playing games in the entire region. The head coach was Željko Pavličević who coached Japan at the World Championships in 2006. He was appointed in May 2010. Introduction The club became a member of the bj league in 2010, becoming the first professional basketball team in the Sanin region to compete in top-tier competition, and second of any professional sports team after Gainare Tottori. The team's name comes from the mythical legend of early Izumo (the story of Susanoo slaying the Yamata no Orochi), and the English word magic, representing the imagery of the myths of the region as well as the team itself. Sea Of Japan
The Sea of Japan is the marginal sea between the Japanese archipelago, Sakhalin, the Korean Peninsula, and the mainland of the Russian Far East. The Japanese archipelago separates the sea from the Pacific Ocean. Like the Mediterranean Sea, it has almost no tides due to its nearly complete enclosure from the Pacific Ocean. Ryan Reid (basketball)
Ryan Rupert Reid (born October 30, 1986) is an American-born Jamaican professional basketball player for the Kanazawa Samuraiz of Japanese B.League. Reid played college basketball with the Florida State Seminoles. After four years in college, he was drafted by the Indiana Pacers with the 57th pick in the 2010 NBA Draft. After the draft, his draft rights were immediately traded to the Oklahoma City Thunder. However, the Thunder did not sign him to a contract and Reid went on to play with in the Tulsa 66ers, the NBA Development League (NBA D-League) affiliate of the Thunder. Leonardo "Gyno" Pomare (born April 5, 1986) is an American-Panamanian professional basketball player. He is last played professionally with the Yamagata Wyverns of the B.League College career Pomare was a four-year player with the University of San Diego. He originally committed to the Toreros out of El Camino High School for the 2004 season, but sat out the 2004-05 season as a redshirt. In his first full season with the school, 2005–06, he averaged 10.4 points and 5 rebounds per game en route to being named to the All-West Coast Conference Freshman Team. Jameel McKay (born September 14, 1992) is an American former professional basketball player. He played two seasons of college basketball for Iowa State Cyclones men's basketball, Iowa State, where as a junior in 2014–15, he was named Big 12 Conference, Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year when he averaged 2.4 blocked shots per game.
