Nyang'hwale District
Nyang'hwale District is one of the five districts of Geita Region of Tanzania. Its administrative centre is the village Kharumwa. It is bordered to the north by Sengerema District, to the east by Misungwi District and Shinyanga Rural District, to the south by Kahama Rural District, and to the west by Geita District. As of 2012, the population of Nyang'hwale was 148,320. Nyang'hwale was established in 2012, when it was split off from Geita District and became part of the newly established Geita Region. Transport Nyang'hwale district is not connected by any paved or trunk roads. Two unpaved regional roads (R162 and R163) connect the district with Geita town, Kahama town and Sengerema District. Geita Region (''Mkoa wa Geita'' in Swahili) is one of Tanzania's 31 administrative regions. The region covers an area of . Misungwi District
Misungwi District is one of the seven Districts of Tanzania, districts of the Mwanza Region of Tanzania. It is bordered to the north by Nyamagana District and Magu District, to the east by Kwimba District, to the south by Shinyanga Rural, Shinyanga Rural District and to the west by Nyang'hwale District and Lake Victoria. Kahama Rural District is one of the five districts of the Shinyanga Region of Tanzania. Its administrative centre is the town of Kahama. The district consists of two separate parts, divided by Kahama Urban District. The area to the northeast is Msalala District, while the part to the southwest is Ushetu Council. Geita is a town and regional capital of Geita Region in northwestern Tanzania. The town is known for its gold trade. Geita, with a population of 99,795 (2012 census). It is located in the centre of a gold mining area. In March 2012 it became the administrative headquarters of the newly created Geita Region. History Geita first came into prominence as the site of a German colonial gold mine. A German gold prospector discovered the mineral in the early 1900s in the hills surrounding modern-day Geita town.
