Nur Alam
Nur Alam (born 9 July 1967) is a former Governor of South East Sulawesi. He was inaugurated for his first five-year term in 2008, and for his second in 2013. The inauguration of Alam's second term proved controversial. Student groups protested due to Alam's implication in a graft case by the Corruption Eradication Commission, though the Supreme Court of Indonesia upheld the victory when Alam's election rival filed a legal challenge. Formal graft accusations by the Commission in 2017 eventually led Home Affairs Minister Tjahjo Kumolo to promote Alam's deputy Saleh Lasata to acting governor in July that year. Southeast Sulawesi
Southeast Sulawesi ( id, Sulawesi Tenggara) is a province on the island of Sulawesi, forming the southeastern peninsula of that island, together with a number of substantial offshore islands such as Buton, Muna, Kabaena and Wawonii (formerly called Wowoni), together with many smaller islands. The ''Jakarta Globe'' is a daily online English-language newspaper in Indonesia, launched in November 2008. The paper initially came out as a print newspaper with an average of 48 pages a day, and published Monday to Saturday. It had three sections, and contained (in section A) a range of general news, including metropolitan and national news coverage as well as international news, plus comment, (in section B) Indonesian and world business and sport plus a classified advertising section, and (in section C) an extensive features and lifestyle coverage as well as entertainment, listings and reader service and puzzle/cartoon pages. He served as Minister of Home Affairs in the Working Cabinet (2014–2019), and Minister of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform in the Onward Indonesia Cabinet from 2019 until his death, both under President Joko Widodo. Corruption Eradication Commission ( id, Komisi Pemberantasan Korupsi), abbreviated as KPK, is an Indonesian government agency established to prevent and fight corruption in the country.
