Nur-E-Alam Siddique
Nur-e-Alam Siddique (26 May 1940 – 29 March 2023) was a Bangladeshi politician and businessman. He was particularly known for his involvement in the Bangladesh Liberation War and pre-indepence era politics as a student leader. He served as a Member of Parliament for Jessore-2 in the first parliament, from 1973 to 1975. Career Siddiqui was elected to parliament from Jessore-2 as a Bangladesh Awami League candidate in 1973. He was a leader of Sarbadaliya Chhatra Sangram Parishad. He was the Chairman of Doreen Group Doreen Group () is a Bangladeshi diversified conglomerate based in Dhaka. Jhenaidah District ( bn, ঝিনাইদহ) is a district in southwestern Bangladesh. It is a part of the Khulna Division. It has an area of . It is bordered by Kushtia District to the north, Jessore District and West Bengal, India to the south, Rajbari District and Magura District to the east, and Chuadanga District and West Bengal, India to the west. The Bengal Presidency, officially the Presidency of Fort William and later Bengal Province, was a subdivision of the British Empire in India. Sarbadaliya Chhatra Sangram Parishad (All Party Student Action Committee) was a student organisation that was formed to demand autonomy of East Pakistan and the removal of Ayub Khan from power.
