Nucha (singer)
Nucha (born Cristina Isabel dos Santos Baldaia Trindade on 21 June 1966) is a Portuguese singer, best known for her participation in the 1990 Eurovision Song Contest. Biography Nucha's first participation in Portugal's Eurovision selection, ''Festival da Canção'', was in 1988 with the song "Se calhar", but this failed to pass the semi-final stage. She entered ''Festival da Canção'' a second time in 1990, and this time was successful with the song " Há sempre alguém" ("There's Always Someone") winning the juries' vote. "Há sempre alguém" went forward to the 35th Eurovision Song Contest, held on 5 May in Zagreb, where it did not prove popular, finishing in 20th place of the 22 entries, having received points only from the Luxembourg and United Kingdom juries. Águeda Municipality
Águeda () is a city and a municipality in Portugal. According to the Portuguese 2011 census, the municipality of Águeda had 47,729 inhabitants, in an area of . The city proper had a population of 14,504 (2001 data), while the remainder is distributed in 11 parishes, within the Baixo Vouga Subregion. History Águeda has been a municipal seat since 1834 and has had official city status since 1985. It was built on a foundation of successive Celt, Turduli and Lusitanian inhabitants since 370 BC. Dulce José Silva Pontes (; born 8 April 1969) is a Portuguese songwriter and singer who performs in many musical styles, including pop, folk, and classical music. She is usually defined as a world music artist. Her songs contributed to the 1990s revival of Portuguese urban folk music called fado. The Eurovision Song Contest 1989 was the 34th edition of the annual Eurovision Song Contest. It took place in Lausanne, Switzerland, following Céline Dion's victory at the with the song "Ne partez pas sans moi". Organised by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) and host broadcaster Swiss Broadcasting Corporation (SRG SSR), the contest was held at Palais de Beaulieu on 6 May 1989 and was hosted by Swiss model Lolita Morena and journalist Jacques Deschenaux. Twenty-two countries took part in the contest with returning after having been disqualified the year before. The winner was with the song " Rock Me" by Croatian band Riva. This was the only victory for Yugoslavia as a unified state. As of 2022 they are still the last act to win the contest performing last. Da Vinci is a Portuguese band created by Iei-Or and Pedro Luís Neves, whose members included Ricardo, Joaquim Andrade, Dora and Sandra Fidalgo, among others throughout the years.
