Nu Tar Vi Dom
"Nu tar vi dom" (alternate spelling: ''Nu tar vi dem''), also known as "VM, nu är det hockeyfeber", is a song used as a fight song for the Swedish national team during the 1989 IIHF World Ice Hockey Championship in Sweden. Lasse Holm wrote both lyrics and music, and the song was recorded by the players themselves, with Håkan Södergren as lead singer. The single peaked at second position on the Swedish singles chart. The B-side was "Här kommer grabbarna" by Lotta Engberg. The song became a Svensktoppen hit for seven weeks between 9 April-21 May 1989, and topped the chart between 16-30 April that year. Håkan Södergren
Karl Håkan Södergren (born 14 June 1959 in Rosersberg, Sweden) is a retired professional ice hockey player, often a recurring color commentator in Viasat's ice hockey broadcast productions. Playing career Södergren played for Djurgårdens IF Hockey in the Swedish elite league Elitserien during his entire professional career, winning the Swedish Championship four times. He finished his active playing career with Huddinge IK in the second tier in the Swedish league structure. Internationally he played in 162 games with the Swedish national team, winning gold at the 1987 World Ice Hockey Championships and bronze at the 1984 and 1988 Winter Olympics. He was awarded the ''Stora Grabbars Märke'' (no. 125) and the ''Guldpucken'' (Elitserien Player of the Year) in 1987. Djurgården has retired number 22 in his honor. Swedish Ice Hockey Association
The Swedish Ice Hockey Association ( sv, Svenska Ishockeyförbundet (SIF)) in Swedish, is an association of Swedish ice hockey clubs. It was established in Stockholm on 17 November 1922 by representatives from seven clubs. Before then, organized ice hockey in Sweden had been administered by the Swedish Football Association. In 1920, Sweden became a member of the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF). In addition to ice hockey, SIF is also responsible for inline hockey. ''Svensktoppen'' () is a weekly record chart airing at Sveriges Radio. Until January 2003, the songs had to be in the Swedish language. Svensktoppen has aired since 1962, except for the years 1982-1985. The last years before the January 2003 change, the programme was strongly dominated by dansband music.
