Carl Johan Trygg, formally ''Carl Johan Thrygg'', also knowns as C. J. Trygg, woodcarver, (1887 – 1954) was one of the recognized masters of twentieth century woodcarving, most famous for Scandinavian flat-plane style of woodcarving. Between C. J. Trygg and his sons they carved over 10,000 figures. Many of his carvings were sold to tourists for approximately $10.00 USD. Adjusted for inflation what cost $10.00 in 1929 would cost $108.05 in 2005. Early years Carl Johan Trygg was born in 1887 in Skagershult, Närke, Örebro county, Sweden. He was one of nine children of S. Sgt Carl Oskar Thrygg. At the age of 12 he left his home to make a living on his own. He worked as a clockmaker, a shoemaker, he also worked in a laundry, and a logging mill. He began carving wooden figures of various common people in the Scandinavian flat-plane style of woodcarving. Carl Olof Trygg (December 21, 1910 – 1993), was one of the recognized masters of 20th century woodcarving, most famous for Scandinavian flat-plane style of woodcarving. Trygg was born in Stora Tuna, Kopparberg county, Dalarna, Sweden. He was one of three son of Carl Johan Trygg and Maria Axelina Andersson. Carl Olof worked with his father carving wooden figures of various common people in the Scandinavian flat-plane style of woodcarving. Between C. O. Lars Trygg, woodcarver, (29 May 1929 – 29 June 1999) was one of the recognized masters of 20th century wood carving, most famous for Scandinavian flat-plane style of woodcarving. Early years Trygg was born in Sweden. He was one of three children of Carl Johan Trygg and Maria Axelina Andersson. Lars worked with his father carving wooden figures of various common people in the Scandinavian flat-plane style of woodcarving. He immigrated to Canada with his family in the late 1920s. Between Trygg his father and two brothers (Nils, and Carl Olaf), they carved over 10,000 figures. Many of his carvings were sold to tourists for approximately US$10.00. Mats Trygg (born June 1, 1976) is a Norwegian ice hockey defenceman. He currently plays with the Vålerenga Ishockey of the Norwegian GET-ligaen. Playing career He started his senior career with Spektrum Flyers in 1994 and played two seasons before signing with Manglerud Star in 1996. He stayed there for three seasons. In 1999 he signed with the Swedish Elitserien club Färjestad and won the Swedish Championship with them in 2002. He played there for six seasons, before moving to Germany and the Deutsche Eishockey Liga. In 2005, he joined his best friend and fellow national team player, Martin Knold, playing for Iserlohn Roosters. Marius Trygg (born 1 June 1976 in Norway) is a Norway, Norwegian ice hockey forward. He is currently playing for Manglerud Star Ishockey, Manglerud Star in GET-ligaen. Mathias Trygg
Mathias Trygg (born 15 March 1986 in Oslo) is a Norwegian professional ice hockey winger, who currently plays for Vålerenga of the Norwegian GET-ligaen. Club career He started his senior career with Manglerud Star in 2002, and played two seasons before moving to Sweden to play for Skåre. He stayed there only one season before moving back to Norway and Manglerud Star. The 2005–06 season was kind of a break-out season for Trygg, and after the conclusion of the season he signed for the current Norwegian Champions, Vålerenga. He went on to win the Championship twice with Vålerenga, before deciding to move abroad again in 2010. Trygg Class Torpedo Boat
The ''Trygg'' class was the third and last class of torpedo boats to be built for the Royal Norwegian Navy. The three ''Trygg'' ships were constructed from 1919 to 1921 at Moss Verft in Moss ('' Trygg'') and Horten naval yard (''Snøgg'' and '' Stegg''). Though much larger and better armed than its predecessors, the cigar-shaped 1. and 2. class torpedo boats, the ''Trygg'' class was far from modern when it was called upon during the Norwegian Campaign in 1940. HNoMS ''Trygg'' (trygg is Norwegian for safe, secure, dependable) was a torpedo boat of the Royal Norwegian Navy. Her hull was built in Moss and she was finished in Horten, with build number 109.
