Nova Scotia Tankard
The Nova Scotia Tankard is the Nova Scotia provincial championship for men's curling. The tournament is run by the Nova Scotia Curling Association. The winner represents Team Nova Scotia at the Tim Hortons Brier. Previously, it was known as the Johnson Cup (1927-1939); British Consols (1940-1979), the Labatt Tankard, Keith's Tankard, Molson Scotia Cup, Molson Coors Tankard (2013-2014), Clearwater Men's Provincial Championship (2015), the East Coast Credit Union Tankard (2016) and the Deloitte Tankard (2017–2020). New Glasgow, Nova Scotia
New Glasgow is a town in Pictou County, in the province of Nova Scotia, Canada. It is situated on the banks of the East River of Pictou, which flows into Pictou Harbour, a sub-basin of the Northumberland Strait. The town's population was 9,075 in the 2016 census. Jamie Murphy (born 13 April 1981 in Saint John, New Brunswick) is a Canadian curler from Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. He is a former skip, and played at his first Brier in 2012. Career Jamie Murphy, originally from Quispamsis, is a former junior curler, representing New Brunswick at the Canadian Junior Championships in 2001 and 2002. Murphy's team had a notable 2010 season, losing in the semifinal of the Nova Scotia Men's Provincial Championship that year. In 2012 the team captured their provincial championship, defeating former Brier champion Mark Dacey. This earned Murphy's team their first trip to the Brier. Jordan Pinder (born April 24, 1984) is a Canadian curler originally from New Brunswick. He now lives in Blockhouse, Nova Scotia. Career Pinder's father encouraged him to start curling. Travis Colter
Travis Colter (born October 15, 1991) is a Canadian curler from Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. He currently plays second on Team Stuart Thompson. He was a member of the 2019 Nova Scotia men's championship rink that competed at the 2019 Tim Hortons Brier, Canada's national men's curling championship. Career Men's Colter began curling at around 2007. By 2010, he had already joined up with former Brier champion Mark Dacey, playing lead on his team. He played in his first provincial championship at the 2011 Nova Scotia Men's Molson Provincial Championship. There, the team lost in the C qualifier final. The next season, they lost in the final of the 2012 Nova Scotia Men's Molson Provincial Championship to the Jamie Murphy rink.
