Nova Gold
Nova Gold (originally Telka) is a Czech free-to-air commercial TV station belonging to the Nova Group, whose program includes series and programs from the Nova station archive and foreign crime series. The station began broadcasting on February 22, 2013, to mark Nova's nineteenth birthday. Like other Nova Group channels, they belong to the CET 21 company, which falls under the CME. Nova Gold bears its current name since 4 February 2017, 2017 when the Telka channel was renamed Nova Gold in order to unify the channel names of the Nova group. History The original plan was to launch the station on Nova's 19th birthday celebration, but CET 21 applied for a broadcasting license for the new channel in December 2012. The Broadcasting Council granted the necessary license on 5 February 2013. For this reason, the original plan for the new channel to begin broadcasting on TV Nova's 19th birthday, which on 4 February 2013, fell through. ''Chcete být milionářem?'' (English translation: ''Do you want to be a millionaire?'') is a Czech game show based on the original British format of '' Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?''. The show was hosted by Vladimír Čech, , Ondřej Hejma, and Marek Vašut (consecutively). The main goal of the game is to win 10 million Kč by answering 15 multiple-choice questions correctly. There were 3 ''lifelines'', in the new version a 4th lifeline was added - fifty fifty (''50:50''), phone a friend (''přítel na telefonu''), ask the audience (''rada publika'') and help of the one from audience (pomoc diváka z publika). The game show was broadcast on Czech TV station TV Nova. When a contestant correctly answered the fifth question, they could leave with at least 10,000 Kč.
