Notre Dame Fighting Irish Baseball
The Notre Dame Fighting Irish baseball team is the intercollegiate baseball team representing the University of Notre Dame in Notre Dame, Indiana. Notre Dame competes as a member of the Atlantic Coast Conference in the NCAA Division 1 college baseball league. The team is currently coached by Shawn Stiffler and plays its home games at Frank Eck Baseball Stadium, which has a capacity of 1,825. The school has appeared in three College World Series, in 1957, 2002, and 2022 and has won 6 conference titles. History Notre Dame baseball began in 1892. The Fighting Irish's first game was against Michigan on April 21, in which they won 6 – 4. They did not have a season in 1893. In 1897, Frank E. Hering became their first coach. Lincoln "Link" Jarrett (born January 26, 1972) is an American college baseball coach and former shortstop, who is the current head baseball coach of the Florida State Seminoles. Jarrett played college baseball at Florida State University from 1991 to 1994 for coach Mike Martin. He was the head coach at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro from 2013 to 2019 and University of Notre Dame from 2020 to 2022. Playing career Jarrett was a four-year starter at shortstop for the Florida State Seminoles, appearing in three College World Series. He holds the All-Time NCAA Assists record of 802. Doug Schreiber
Doug Schreiber (born August 25, 1963) is an American baseball coach and former second baseman. He is the current head baseball coach of the Purdue Fort Wayne Mastodons. Schreiber played college baseball at Purdue University. He was the head baseball coach at Purdue University from 1999 to 2016, where he posted a 485–489 record. From 2004 to 2006, Purdue qualified for three consecutive Big Ten baseball tournaments. His 2006 team went 31–27, and defeated #2 North Carolina. In 2001, Purdue finished second in the Big Ten Conference, for its best finish in over 30 years. The 2001 team upset #1 ranked Rice to start the season. Cory Thomas Mee (born February 14, 1970) is an American college baseball coach and former third baseman, who is the current associate head baseball coach and catching coach for the Western Michigan Broncos. Mee grew up in Hilton, New York, and graduated from Hilton High School in 1988. He played college baseball at the University of Notre Dame from 1989 to 1992, before playing professionally for the Yakima Bears in 1992. Gary Tuck
Gary Robert Tuck (born September 6, 1954) is an American former professional baseball player, coach, and manager. He played one game in Minor League Baseball as a catcher in 1978. He has coached in the minor leagues and in Major League Baseball for the New York Yankees, Florida Marlins, and Boston Red Sox. Early life Tuck was born in Amsterdam, New York, and graduated from Indiana University. Tuck has 23 years of professional coaching experience. Patrick Thomas Murphy (born November 28, 1958) is an American baseball coach and manager. He is currently the bench coach for the Milwaukee Brewers of Major League Baseball. He previously served as the interim manager of the San Diego Padres and as the head coach for the college baseball teams representing Arizona State University and the University of Notre Dame. Playing career Murphy played baseball at Florida Atlantic University where he played catcher and infield and pitched. George Keogan
George E. Keogan (March 8, 1890 – February 17, 1943) was an American football, basketball, and baseball coach, most known for coaching basketball at the University of Notre Dame from 1923 to 1943. Keogan never had a losing season in his 20 years at Notre Dame. The Minnesota Lake, Minnesota native attended University of Minnesota from 1909 to 1913. 2021 Mississippi State Bulldogs Baseball Team
The 2021 Mississippi State Bulldogs baseball team represented Mississippi State University in the 2021 NCAA Division I baseball season.
