Charles Frederick Kip Winger (born June 21, 1961) is an American bass guitarist and singer, active as a member of the rock band Winger and as a solo artist. He initially gained notability as a member of Alice Cooper's band, contributing bass and vocals to his '' Constrictor'' and ''Raise Your Fist and Yell'' albums. ''A Year and a Half in the Life of Metallica'' is a two-part documentary about the process of making the ''Metallica'' album (or "The Black Album") and the following tour. It was produced by Juliana Roberts and directed by Adam Dubin. ''A Year and a Half in the Life of Metallica'' was released as a double VHS pack. Both parts are available on a single DVD, but only in region 1. Part 1 This 90-minute video shows how Metallica and their producer Bob Rock worked their way through making the ''Metallica'' album. Dubin (born January 10, 1964) is an American filmmaker who co-directed the Beastie Boys music videos "(You Gotta) Fight for Your Right (To Party!)" and "No Sleep till Brooklyn" with Ric Menello. Michael Arnold Kamen (April 15, 1948 – November 18, 2003) was an American composer (especially of film scores), orchestral arranger, orchestral conductor, songwriter, and session musician. Biography Early life Michael Arnold Kamen was born in New York City, the second of four sons. His father, Saul Kamen, was a dentist, and his mother, Helen, was a teacher. He was of Jewish heritage. Clifford Lee Burton (February 10, 1962 – September 27, 1986) was an American musician who was the bassist for heavy metal band Metallica from 1982 until his death in 1986. He performed on ''Kill 'Em All'' (1983), '' Ride the Lightning'' (1984), and ''Master of Puppets'' (1986), the band's first three studio albums.
