Elvira Notari
Elvira Notari (born Elvira Coda; 10 February 1875 – 17 December 1946) was an Italian film director, one of the country's earliest and most prolific female filmmaker. She is credited as the first woman who made over sixty feature films and about a hundred shorts and documentaries, quite often writing the subjects and screenplays, inspired by Naples. The Elvira Notari Prize is named after her. She was of modest social origins. She married Nicola Notari. Together they founded Dora Film, and she became the first Italian woman to create a family film production company. She directed the films, while he worked as a cameraman. Their son, Eduardo or 'Gennariello,' based on a character he played, worked as an actor in many of the films. Eduardo nicknamed his mother, “The General,” based on her strong will and determination displayed in her film company. Notari Matsutarō
is a Japanese sports manga series written and illustrated by Tetsuya Chiba about sumo wrestling. Plot Matsutarou Sakaguchi is lazy and quick tempered. As a result, he is stuck in middle school even though he is an adult. One day he gets in a fight with a sumo wrestler and they take the fight to a sumo ring. The attending sumo stable masters are impressed by Sakaguchi's strength and convince Sakaguchi to come to Tokyo. Sakaguchi has an ulterior motive though. A teacher he has a crush on, Reiko Minami recently moved to Tokyo and the sumo stable is close to her home. Sakaguchi begins training and competing in sumo while dreaming of the day he can marry Reiko. Publication ''Notari Matsutarō'' was serialized by Shogakukan in ''Big Comic'' magazine from August 1973 to June 1993, then after a hiatus it returned from October 1995 to March 1998. Louis Notari ( Monaco, 1879–1961) was a Monégasque poet who was the pioneer of Monégasque literature. He wrote in the French and Monégasque languages. Francesco de' Notari, O.M. (died 1652) was a Roman Catholic prelate who served as Bishop of Lavello (1644–1652). ''(in Latin)'' Biography Francesco de' Notari was born in Naples, Italy, and ordained a priest in the Order of Minims. On 13 July 1644, he was appointed during the papacy of Pope Urban VIII as Bishop of Lavello.
