NOTA (film)
''NOTA'' () is a 2018 Indian Tamil-language political thriller film directed by Anand Shankar. It stars Vijay Deverakonda, making his Tamil debut, playing the lead role along with Mehreen Pirzada. Sathyaraj, Nassar (actor), Nassar, Sanchana Natarajan, Karunakaran (actor), Karunakaran, Priyadarshi Pullikonda, Yashika Aannand, M. S. Bhaskar, and Rajendran, among others portray supporting roles. Produced by K. E. Gnanavel Raja, under his production house Studio Green, the film was adapted from novel ''Vettattam'' by Shan Karuppusamy who is also involved in the film's screenplay. The film revolves around Varun, the son of a chief minister, who rises to his father's position after corruption charges are brought against the father. Anand Shankar
Anand Shankar is an Indian film director and screenwriter, primarily working in Tamil cinema. Shankar started his career as an assistant director to Siddharth Anand in '' Anjaana Anjaani'' (2010). He also assisted producer-director AR Murugadoss in movies such as ''Thuppakki'' and ''7aum Arivu''. He successfully finished his work as debut director on ''Arima Nambi'' starring Vikram Prabhu and Priya Anand, a Tamil thriller film. He directed ''Iru Mugan'' and Arima Nambi, both of them became blockbusters at the box-office. In 2018, he directed ''NOTA'', starring Vijay Devarkonda in his Tamil debut. Lahari Recording Company is an Indian music company based in Bangalore. It owns a music label called "Lahari Music" also a film production company called "Lahari Films LLP". 2015 South Indian Floods
The 2015 South India floods resulted from heavy rainfall generated by the annual northeast monsoon in November–December 2015. They affected the Coromandel Coast region of the South Indian states of Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh. More than 500 people were killed and over 1.8 million (18 lakh) people were displaced. The Nadigar Sangam ( en, Actors' association), officially known as the South Indian Artistes' Association (SIAA), is a union for film, television, and stage actors in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu, based in Chennai. Formed in 1952, the group has a charitable trust fund to provide pensions to retired actors, voice support for actors caught in controversy, and have collectively protested socio-political issues. Elections in the Nadigar Sangam, which is made up of over 3000 members, are held once every three years to determine the president of the group. R.
