Northeast Mississippi Community College
Northeast Mississippi Community College (NEMCC) is a public community college in Booneville, Mississippi. History The college was founded in 1948 as ''Northeast Mississippi Junior College,'' and became known primarily as an agricultural school and junior college. The land that the college sits on was sold to the state by Dr. W. H. Sutherland, with the express desire that a college be built in Booneville. The agricultural high school status was dropped a year later. The name of the school changed again to its current form in 1987. It has extension centers located in New Albany, Ripley and Corinth. Northeast Mississippi Community College's service area is made up of five counties: Alcorn, Prentiss, Tippah, Tishomingo, and Union. Deion Belue
Deion Belue (born September 3, 1991) is a former American football cornerback. He played college football at University of Alabama, Alabama. Belue signed with the Miami Dolphins as an undrafted free agent in 2014. He was also a member of the Pittsburgh Steelers. He coached at Deshler as the Secondary Coach. As of 2021, Deion accepted a coaching job at Sheffield, Alabama. Early years Belue attended Deshler High School in Tuscumbia, Alabama. He was selected to the Alabama Sports Writers Association 4A All-State team twice while in high school. Adrian Smith (basketball)
Adrian Howard "Odie" Smith (born October 5, 1936) is an American former professional basketball player. Early life Smith was the fifth of six children of Oury and Ruth Smith of Farmington, Kentucky. The family lived in a farmhouse that had no electricity and no indoor plumbing. He was nicknamed "Odie" after a comedian on the Grand Ole Opry. As a child, he attended a three-room schoolhouse in rural Graves County, Kentucky. Because the family didn't have money for a basketball, he learned to shoot one his mother made from rolling up his dad's socks. He attended Farmington High School, where he nearly didn't play high school basketball until the school's principal/basketball coach agreed to give him a ride home (a distance of seven miles) after practices. Daniel Ross (born March 15, 1993) is an American football defensive tackle for the Edmonton Elks of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He was signed by the Houston Texans as an undrafted free agent after the 2017 NFL Draft. He played college football at Northeast Mississippi. Dontae' Antijuaine Jones (born June 2, 1975) is an American former professional basketball player, formerly of the Boston Celtics of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Jones played college basketball at Northeast Mississippi Community College where he is the Tigers' all-time leading scorer, rebounder, and shot blocker. His #32 jersey has been retired by the school. NBA D-League
The NBA G League, or simply the G League, is the National Basketball Association's (NBA) official minor league basketball organization. The league was known as the National Basketball Development League (NBDL) from 2001 to 2005, and the NBA Development League (NBA D-League) from 2005 until 2017. Travis Wayne Childers (born March 29, 1958) is an American politician who served as the U.S. representative for from 2008 to 2011.
