Northbourne is a suburb of Bournemouth, Dorset in England. It is in the north of the town and borders Ensbury Park. History Northbourne stands on what was once part of the Ensbury Estate one of the earliest settlements that sprung up along the River Stour before Bournemouth was founded. The historic Grade II Listed Dower House in Wimborne Road is to the west of the suburb. Northbourne became a post-war suburb of Bournemouth. Areas Hill View is an area of Northbourne. Hill View road links Northbourne to Redhill. It should not be confused with an area in Bournemouth of the same name. KentSalads Ltd were based in Northbourne until they relocated to Tilmanstone and renamed themselves Tilmanstone Salads. East Hagbourne
East Hagbourne is a village and civil parish about south of Didcot and south of Oxford. It was part of Berkshire until the 1974 boundary changes transferred it to Oxfordshire. The 2011 Census recorded the parish's population as 1,882. Manor East Hagbourne's toponym is derived from Hacca's Brook, a stream that flows through the village. East Hagbourne was sometimes called Church Hagbourne. East and West Hagbourne have been separate villages since the time of Edward the Confessor, when Regenbald, a priest of Cirencester, held the manor of East Hagbourne. Regenbald continued to hold the manor after the Norman conquest of England in 1066 and compilation of the Domesday Book in 1086. Regenbald died in the reign of Henry I, who then granted East Hagbourne manor to the Augustinians of Cirencester Abbey (founded 1117). Northbourne Avenue is a major road in Canberra, Australia. It extends from City Hill in the south, to the Federal Highway in the north. It is a north–south running road which has three lanes for motorised traffic, and one lane for bicycles running in each direction, with a large median strip containing a light railway line between rows of trees. The speed limit is 40 km/h. The Federal Highway to the north of the intersection with Mouat and Antill streets has an 80 km/h speed limit. These speed limits are strictly enforced with multiple fixed red light/speed cameras in the 40 km/h zone and mobile speed cameras being permitted to operate along the entire length of the road. Northbourne Avenue is the dividing line between the suburbs of Turner and Lyneham on the west, with the suburbs of Braddon, Dickson and Downer on the east. Baron Northbourne
Baron Northbourne, of Betteshanger in the County of Kent, is a title in the Peerage of the United Kingdom. It was created in 1884 for Sir Walter James, 2nd Baronet, who had earlier represented Kingston upon Hull in the House of Commons as a Conservative. His son, the second Baron, sat as a Liberal Member of Parliament for Gateshead.
