The North Panola School District is a public school district based in Sardis, Mississippi (USA). In addition to Sardis, the district also serves the town of Como and the Panola County portion of Crenshaw as well as rural areas in northern Panola County. Panola County, Mississippi
Panola County is a county located in the U.S. state of Mississippi. As of the 2010 census, the population was 34,707. Its county seats are Sardis and Batesville. The county is located just east of the Mississippi Delta in the northern part of the state. It is bisected by the Tallahatchie River flowing to the southwest; travel difficulties because of the river resulted in two county seats being established. Panola is the anglicization of ''ponolo'', a word meaning "thread" in both old Choctaw and Chickasaw and "cotton" in modern Choctaw. Crenshaw is a town in Panola and Quitman counties in the U.S. state of Mississippi. The population was 885 at the 2010 census. History Crenshaw was located on the Yazoo and Mississippi Valley Railroad. By the early 1900s, Crenshaw had a post office, several stores, churches, schools, and a combined oil mill and cotton-gin. The Bank of Crenshaw was established in 1905. Geography Most of the town is in Panola County with a small portion on the west side in Quitman County.
