North Macedonia In The Eurovision Song Contest 2019
North Macedonia participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 with the song "Proud" written by Darko Dimitrov, Robert Bilbilov, Lazar Cvetkoski, Kosta Petrov and Sanja Popovska. The song was performed by Tamara Todevska, who was internally selected by the Macedonian broadcaster Macedonian Radio Television (MRT) to compete for Macedonia at the 2019 contest in Lisbon, Portugal. Todevska previously represented Macedonia in the Eurovision Song Contest 2008 with the song " Let Me Love You" together with Vrčak and Adrijan but failed to qualify to the final. Tamara Todevska's appointment as the Macedonian representative was announced on 25 January 2019, while her song, "Proud", was presented to the public on 8 March 2019. Tamara Todevska ( mk, Тамара Тодевска, pronounced , born 1 June 1985), also known mononymously as Tamara, is a Macedonian pop singer. Tamara began her music career in 2003 following the release of her debut studio album '' Sino''. She has won on various music competitions throughout her career such as MAKFest in 2006 and Skopje Fest in 2007. She has represented the Republic of North Macedonia in the Eurovision Song Contest on two occasions; in 2008, where she failed to qualify for the finals, performing the song " Let Me Love You" with Vrčak and Adrian Gaxha, and in 2019, she placed seventh in the final with the song " Proud", earning the country their best result in the contest ever. Eurovision Song Contest 2008
The Eurovision Song Contest 2008 was the 53rd edition of the Eurovision Song Contest. It took place in Belgrade, Serbia, following the country's victory at the with the song "Molitva" by Marija Šerifović. Organised by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) and host broadcaster Radio Television of Serbia (RTS), the contest was held at the Belgrade Arena, and (for the first time) consisted of two semi-finals on 20 and 22 May, and a final on 24 May 2008. Vasil Garvanliev ( mk, Васил Гарванлиев; born 2 November 1984) is a North Macedonia, Macedonian singer. He is also known mononymously as Vasil.
