District (Taiwan)
Districts are administrative subdivisions of the Taiwan, Republic of China (Taiwan)'s special municipality (Taiwan), special municipalities of the second level and provincial city (Taiwan), provincial cities of the third level formerly under its Provinces of China, provinces. There are two types of district in the administrative scheme. Ordinary districts are governed directly by the municipality/city government with district administrators appointed by the mayors to four-year terms. The mountain indigenous district is a local government body with elected district chiefs as well as district council serving four-year terms. Tainan (), officially Tainan City, is a special municipality in southern Taiwan facing the Taiwan Strait on its western coast. Tainan is the oldest city on the island and also commonly known as the "Capital City" for its over 200 years of history as the capital of Taiwan under Koxinga and later Qing rule. The Tainan Flower Night Market () is a tourism night market in North District, Tainan, Taiwan. It is often considered to be the largest and most famous night market in the city. It is said that "South is Flower, Middle is Fengjia, North is Shihlin". History The night market was formally established in 1999. It is one of the youngest night markets in the city. Tainan Cultural And Creative Park
The Chiayi Cultural and Creative Industries Park () is a multi-purpose park in North District, Tainan, Taiwan. History The main red brick building of the park was built in the 1900s as the Monopoly Bureau branch of Taiwan Governor's Office during the Japanese rule. The park was opened on 17 July 2011.
