Norm Macdonald (politician)
Norm Macdonald is a Canadian politician who served as a Member of the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia in the 38th, 39th and 40th Parliament of British Columbia, from 2005 to 2017. As a member of the BC New Democratic Party, he was elected to represent the riding of Columbia River-Revelstoke in the 2005 provincial election and re-elected in the 2009 election and 2013 election. Macdonald introduced one private member bill, the ''British Columbia Open Mining Act, 2014'' (Bill M-214), that would have amended the ''Mines Act'' to create a Public Electronic Registry to make all mine-related applications, licences, permits, and inspection reports to be publicly visible. Columbia River-Revelstoke is a provincial electoral district for the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia, Canada. Geography As of the 2020 provincial election, Columbia River-Revelstoke comprises the eastern portion of the Columbia-Shuswap Regional District and the northern portion of the Regional District of East Kootenay. John Horgan
John Joseph Horgan (born August 7, 1959) is a Canadian politician who served as the 36th premier of British Columbia from 2017 to 2022, and also as the leader of the British Columbia New Democratic Party from 2014 to 2022. Maurine Karagianis (born August 17, 1950) is a Canadian politician, formerly the New Democratic Party MLA for the riding of Esquimalt-Royal Roads in the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia. She was first elected in the 2005 election to the constituency of Esquimalt-Metchosin, garnering almost 50 percent of votes cast and 2,895 more votes than the next closest candidate. Scott Kenneth Fraser (born 1957 or 1958) is a Canadian politician who represented the Mid Island-Pacific Rim electoral district Legislative Assembly of British Columbia from 2005 to 2020.
