Manuel Noriega Ruiz
Manuel "Manolo" Noriega, (June 24, 1880 – August 12, 1961) was a Spanish-born Mexican stage and film actor, screenwriter, and film director. Born Manuel Noriega Ruiz in Colombres, Spain, he worked in live theatre for many years, performing in his native Spain as well as in Mexico, Cuba and the United States. A pioneer in silent film, he made his first screen appearance in 1907. It is believed some of his early silent films have been lost, but his main body of work began in talkies in the early 1930s, performing in close to two hundred sound films. Noriega earned an Ariel Award nomination for "Best Actor in a minor role" for his performance in the 1946 film ''Pepita Jiménez''. Married to Hortensia Castañeda Avila, their daughter Carmen became a singer who married Tito Guízar. Noriega died of gastric ulcer in Mexico City on August 12, 1961, and is buried at the Panteón Jardín in Mexico City. Víctor Noriega (; born Víctor Enrique Noriega Hernandez May 10, 1972) is a Mexican actor, singer and model. Biography Born in Mexico City, he started his career as a model. He then pursued a BA in Communications. At the same time he auditioned for a musical group and became part of Garibaldi from 1989 to 1998, in which he was one of the eight original members. The group reunited in 1999 launching a double CD. He then started his acting career in Mexican soap operas. Later on he mixed his career as a host for several TV shows for Univision and TeleFutura. Richard Joel Noriega (born January 8, 1958) is a former American politician and retired major general in the Texas Army National Guard who is currently director of Harris County Universal Services (HCUS). From 1998 to 2009, Noriega was a Democratic member of the Texas House of Representatives for District 145, representing eastern portions of Houston. In 2008, Noriega was the Democratic nominee for the United States Senate seat held by Republican John Cornyn. Cornyn would win reelection with 54.8% to Noriega's 42.8%. Patricio Noriega (born 22 October 1971, Argentina) is a former Argentine rugby union footballer who played prop. He started his career in local club Hindu and had his test debut for Los Pumas in 1991 against Paraguay. After playing two Rugby World Cup's (1991 and 1995) he then migrated to Australia to join Super 12 team the ACT Brumbies in 1996. After a couple of seasons, he was offered to play for the Wallabies and made his debut against France in 1998. However, he suffered a shoulder injury on the eve of the 1999 Rugby World Cup and was unable to play for his new national team in their victorious campaign.
