Norbergfestival
Norbergfestival is a Scandinavian electronic and experimental music festival held in Norberg, Västmanland, Sweden. The festival was started in 1999 by Michael Østerz Christiansen and Dag Celsing. The event attracts people of different ages and most visitors come from Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, UK or Germany History There are four main stages on the festival, the first of which is ''Mimer'' with a staggering reverb of more than 7 seconds; concrete and steel structures are the raw surroundings. ''Kraftwerk'' is the old power plant, where the clubbing and dancing atmosphere is intense. ''Krossverket'' hosts more intimate concerts and performance art. 303 is the official underground stage. On top of that, the ''ReallyOpenStage'' gives visitors a chance to play either on bought or borrowed machines. Art installations are present in Mimer and around the festival area. Norberg
Norberg () is a locality and the seat of Norberg Municipality in Västmanland County, Sweden with 4,518 inhabitants in 2010. Best known for the Norbergfestival which is Scandinavias biggest electronic music festival, organized in an old iron ore mine. Norberg consists of two large parts, the actual Norberg in the south and Kärrgruvan (Marsh Mine) in the north, along with smaller settlements scattered around the area. History Iron-making in Norberg can be traced back to the 6th century, but the area has been populated since the Nordic Stone Age. The blast furnace plant at Lapphyttan, probably originates from the 11–1200s (currently under reconstruction elsewhere), shows the beginning of the mining community that grew up in Bergslagen. Psilodump
Psilodump (born Simon Rahm on 15 December 1980) is a Swedish people, Swedish musician, DJ, and music producer, producer based in Stockholm, Sweden, Stockholm. He has also released work under his real name and as Psilodumputer, Pushiro, and J.Panic. Biography Rahm began making music at the age of 11 on an Amiga 500 computer and later an Amiga 1200 before moving to a IBM PC compatible, PC, synthesizers, and other musical equipment. His first live gigs were at local community events, which he described as an inappropriate context for his energetic performances. In the late 1990s he became involved in the rave scene, playing both illegal and legal events. The "psilocybin, psilo-" prefix of his stage name comes from rave drug culture. Luke Vibert
Luke Vibert (born 26 January 1973) is a British electronic musician and producer, also known for his work under several aliases such as Plug and Wagon Christ. Raised in Cornwall, Vibert began releasing projects in the 1990s across varied genres, including techno, drum and bass, and trip hop. He has recorded on labels such as Rephlex, Ninja Tune, Planet Mu, and Warp. Early years: 1990s Vibert's first musical output was in a variety of bands, including a punk act called Five Minute Fashion and later a Beastie Boys-esque group called the Hate Brothers, but he quickly moved into the low-cost environment of solo electronic composition. Paul Woolford (DJ)
Paul Woolford (born 1976) is a British dance music producer and DJ from Leeds, Yorkshire, who also uses the aliases Bobby Peru and Special Request, such as on the underground hit, "Erotic Discourse". Biography An adoptee, Woolford grew up in Leeds with his brother Mark. Paul was inspired by the club night Back to Basics, eventually becoming a resident there. Starting in 2008, he was a weekly resident of We Love Space, which was a long-running Sunday party at Space in Ibiza. He constantly tours to play guest spots in addition to his residency and owns the record label, Intimacy. Woolford scored a hit single in 2020 with " Looking for Me", a collaboration with American DJ and producer Diplo, featuring vocals from American singer Kareen Lomax. Berndt Andreas Tilliander (born 1977) is a Swedish electronica, drone and techno producer who significantly contributed to the evolution of the 'clicks & cuts' genre with his first albums ''Cliphop'' (Raster.Noton) and ''Ljud'' (Mille Plateaux). He has recorded music under many names (Lowfour, Mokira, Rechord, TM404 and more) and worked with some of Europe's influential electronic music labels. DJ Food is an electronic music project currently headed by Kevin Foakes (also known as "Strictly Kev"). Originally conceived by the members of Coldcut on the Ninja Tune independent record label, the project started in 1990 on the premise of providing metaphorical "food for DJs". DJ Food released the Jazz Brakes series, with ''Jazz Brakes Volume 3'' being the most successful. The records consisted of collections of breaks, loops and samples that could be used for mixing, remixing and producing. The later DJ Food albums have developed with shades of Latin, dub, breakbeat, ambient, and drum and bass. Oliver Dene Jones (born 1 June 1986), known as Skream, is an English electronic music producer based in Croydon. Skream was an early and influential exponent of the dubstep genre. After producing several singles, he released his first full-length album, '' Skream!'', in 2006. Skream and longtime collaborators Artwork and Benga co-founded a music group called Magnetic Man. Monolake
Monolake is a German electronic music project, initially consisting of members Gerhard Behles and Robert Henke, Monolake is now perpetuated by Henke while Behles focuses on running music software company Ableton, which they founded in 1999 together with Bernd Roggendorf. From 2004, Torsten Pröfrock became a member of Monolake. Monolake's minimal, dub-influenced techno helped establish the sound of the Chain Reaction label, also located in Berlin, subsequently using their own l/i(''Monolake / Imbalance Computer Music'') label for the group's output. Pan Sonic
Pan Sonic was a Finnish electronic music group founded in Turku in 1993. The group consisted of Mika Vainio, Ilpo Väisänen, and Sami Salo. Salo left in 1996 leaving Pan Sonic a duo. The group was originally named Panasonic until 1998. In December 2009, it was announced that Pan Sonic would disband after their concerts that month. Their final album, ''Gravitoni'', was released by Blast First Petite in May 2010. ''Oksastus'', a live album recorded in 2009, was released in 2014.
