''Nooran'' ( pa, نوراں), also spelled ''Nooraan'', is a 1957 Pakistani Punjabi-language musical romance film directed and produced by J.C. Anand and starring Noor Jehan and Sudhir in lead roles. Hazeen Qadri weote the film, songs lyrics and dialogues of the film. The film revolves around Nooran and Sohna Baloch who falls for each other first sight but their families are enemies of each other for many years. Although, the film didn't well at box office but over the years, the film's song became popular and inspired the others, especially that sung by Jehan. Shah Zaman Khan Afridi better known as Sudhir (Urdu: ) or Lala Sudhir (25 January 1921 – 19 January 1997) was a Pakistani actor, director and producer. Sudhir was a highly respected film personality. He is known as the first action hero of Pakistani cinema. His film roles symbolized valour and bravery. Nazar (comedian)
Nazar (died 20 January 1991), was a Pakistani comedian and film actor. He debuted in films with a Punjabi language film ''Gul-Baloch'' which was released in 1944,In this film Famous Indian singer Mohammed Rafi was also introduced first time as playback singer. Nazar later played comedic role in Pakistan's first feature film '' Teri Yaad'' and Pakistan's first silver jubilee film ''Pheray'' (1949). Munir Hussain (singer)
Munir Hussain (1930 - 27 September 1995) was a Pakistani playback singer. While working in Pakistani films for over thirty-eight years, he primarily sung for Urdu and Punjabi language films. His work include 217 songs in 163 films. He was one of the first Pakistani singers who earned his recognition in Lollywood, a film industry that produces Urdu and Punjabi-language films. Despite of his classical music background and prominence in film industry, he was not able to achieve recognition initially because of Ahmed Rushdi and later because of Masood Rana. Iqbal Bano
Iqbal Bano ( ur, ; born 1928 in Delhi – died 21 April 2009 in Lahore) was a ghazal singer from Pakistan. She was known for her semi-classical Urdu ghazal songs and classical thumris, but also sang easy-listening numbers in the 1950s films. Iqbal Bano's prominent work includes her singing of ghazals of the great Urdu poet Faiz Ahmed Faiz. In 1974, she became the recipient of the Pride of Performance award. Mohammad Saeed Khan (1 January 1937 – 24 May 2005), better known as Rangeela, was a Pakistani Lollywood actor, singer and director. He is regarded as one of the finest comedians of the Pakistani film industry. He performed in over 300 films in his career spanning over 4 decades.
