Released through JVCKenwood Victor Entertainment, Victor Entertainment on December 16, 1986, the album features the hit singles "Dance Beat wa Yoake made" and "Roppongi Junjōha", plus remixes of "Dancing Hero (Eat You Up)" and "Flamingo in Paradise" and Japanese-language covers of Shocking Blue's "Venus (Shocking Blue song), Venus", Paul Chiten's "Melting Point", and Finzy Kontini's "Cha-Cha-Cha". The album was reissued on March 24, 2010 with ten bonus karaoke tracks as part of Oginome's 25th anniversary celebration. The album hit No. 1 on Oricon's albums chart and sold over 691,000 copies. ''Route 246 Connexion'' is a concept album themed around Japan National Route 246. A karaoke version of the album was released on September 1, 1987. Yōko Oginome
, real name , is a former pop idol, actress and voice actress, who gained popularity in the mid-1980s. Her fans often call her Oginome-chan. She is represented by the talent management firm Rising Production. Career Oginome spent most of her elementary and junior high years living in the town of Ranzan in Saitama Prefecture, though she attended school in the city of Sakura. She graduated from Horikoshi High School in Nakano, Tokyo. While in elementary school, Oginome won a contest and was selected to be part of a three-member group called under the CBS/Sony label. is the tenth single by Japanese singer Yōko Oginome. Written by Masao Urino and Akihiro Yoshimi, the single was released on October 29, 1986 by Victor Entertainment. Background and release "Roppongi Junjōha" peaked at No. 3 on Oricon's singles chart, making it Oginome's highest-charting single until " Sayonara no Kajitsutachi" hit No. 1 in 1987. It also sold over 261,000 copies. The song earned Oginome the Gold Award at the 29th Japan Record Awards, the Best Hit Song Award at the 1987 FNS Music Festival, and the Wired Music Award at the 20th Japan Cable Awards. Oginome performed the song on the 38th ''Kōhaku Uta Gassen'' in 1986, making her second appearance on NHK's New Year's Eve special. Roppongi
is a district of Minato, Tokyo, Japan, famous for the affluent Roppongi Hills development area and popular night club scene. A few foreign embassies are located near Roppongi, and the night life is popular with locals and foreigners alike. It is in the central part of Tokyo, south of Akasaka and north of Azabu. is a Japanese composer, arranger and music producer. With a career spanning over 40 years (beginning in the late 1970s), he is best known for his works as a record producer for acts including various choir members Mike Wyzgowski, Misia, Satoshi Tomiie, and Ken Hirai. Sagisu has also worked as a film composer for several anime and films and is well known for his collaborations with Gainax, especially the soundtrack to Hideaki Anno's series ''Neon Genesis Evangelion''. Sagisu's career in music started in 1977, when he became one of the members of jazz fusion band T-Square. He made three albums with the group before becoming a full-time composer and writer in 1979. Robbie Van Leeuwen
Robbie van Leeuwen (born 29 October 1944) is a Dutch musician who was a guitarist, sitarist, background vocalist and main songwriter for Dutch bands, including The Motions and Shocking Blue. In 1967 he played guitar on the only single ever released by "The Six Young Riders" titled "Let the Circle Be Unbroken". As of January 2021, he is the only surviving member of Shocking Blue's best known four-piece lineup. Career In 1970 he was in the band Shocking Blue, which had a No. 1 hit with the single "Venus". In 1974 he left Shocking Blue and released the successful single "Long Hot Summer" with his new band Galaxy-Lin. is a Japanese lyricist, script writer, and film director. He has written lyrics for many musical groups and individual artists, sometimes under the pseudonym . After graduating from Tochigi Prefectural Ashikaga High School, he graduated in 1974 with a degree in literature from Sophia University. After graduating, he worked as a copy writer for the advertising firm , which went bankrupt in 1999. Due to missing an error in an advertisement in a national newspaper, though, he was forced to do other work. While working at Tōkyū Agency International (now Frontage), he made his lyricist debut with the 1981 Chanels song ''Hoshi Kuzu no Dance Hall''. In 1982, he had a big hit with the Akina Nakamori song ''Shōjo A''. Kōji Makaino
is a Japanese pop music composer, arranger, and musician. He is the elder brother of composer Shunichi Makaino. Biography Makaino was born in the city of Toyohashi, in Aichi Prefecture. His father Noboru was a music-lover and amateur composer, and he got Kōji to become familiar with musical instruments. He, his father, and his brother played together as a tango band. After graduating from Aichi Prefectural Commercial High School in Toyohashi, he studied music at the Naomi College of Music before dropping out in 1967 join a group called "Blue Sharm." The group only issued four singles, and broke up in 1970. Since 1972, when he arranged for Hideki Saijo's album ''Chance wa Ichido'', he has worked in composition and arrangement.
