Neck Of Femur
The femoral neck (femur neck or neck of the femur) is a flattened pyramidal process of bone, connecting the femoral head with the femoral shaft, and forming with the latter a wide angle opening medialward. Structure The neck is flattened from before backward, contracted in the middle, and broader laterally than medially. The vertical diameter of the lateral half is increased by the obliquity of the lower edge, which slopes downward to join the body at the level of the lesser trochanter, so that it measures one-third more than the antero-posterior diameter. The medial half is smaller and of a more circular shape. The anterior surface of the neck is perforated by numerous vascular foramina. Along the upper part of the line of junction of the anterior surface with the head is a shallow groove, best marked in elderly subjects; this groove lodges the orbicular fibers of the capsule of the hip joint. The posterior surface is smooth, and is broader and more concave than the anteri ...

Nonossifying Fibroma
A non-ossifying fibroma (NOF) is a benign bone tumor of the osteoclastic giant cell-rich tumor type. It generally occurs in the metaphysis of long bones in children and adolescents. Typically, there are no symptoms unless there is a fracture. It can occur as part of a syndrome such as when multiple non-ossifying fibromas occur in neurofibromatosis, or Jaffe-Campanacci syndrome in combination with cafe-au-lait spots, mental retardation, hypogonadism, eye and cardiovascular abnormalities. Diagnosis is by X-ray or MRI, usually when investigating a person for something else. Medical imaging typically shows a well defined radiolucent lesion, with a distinct multilocular appearance, sometimes looking like bubbles. It is usually around 1-2cm in size, but be as large as 7cm. They consist of foci consist of collagen rich connective tissue, fibroblasts, histiocytes and osteoclasts. Usually no treatment is required. Surgical curettage and bone grafting may be required if it is large. It ...

It was founded in 1957, though it was preceded by a similar body with the same name which operated from 1920 to 1935. It is BirdLife International’s Norwegian partner organisation. Key activities of the society include the protection of bird habitats, running conservation projects, educating the public and publishing membership magazines. It has about 9000 members and four staff and is based in Trondheim Trondheim ( , , ; sma, Tråante), historically Kaupangen, Nidaros and Trondhjem (), is a city and municipality in Trøndelag county, Norway. NOF (radio Station)
NOF was one of the call signs used in the 1920s by a radio station located at the Naval Air Station in Anacostia, D.C. This call sign was used when the station was making general and experimental broadcasts, while the call sign NSF was generally used when the station was conducting regular business. From 1920 to 1922 the Anacostia station was the primary radio outlet employed by the U.S. government for making public broadcasts. However, in early 1923 responsibility for these programs was transferred to station NAA in Arlington, Virginia, and the Anacostia station returned to generally being used for research, thus primarily using the NSF call sign. However, a few public demonstrations, most notably Charles Jenkins' mid-1920s television experiments, were later conducted under the NOF call sign. On May 18, 1922, NOF broadcast the first U.S. presidential radio appearance, when it carried a speech given by Warren Harding to the U.S. Chamber of Commerce in Washington, D.C. On May 30, 1 ...

NetObjects Fusion
NetObjects Fusion (NOF) is a web design tool, from 1996 to 2001 developed and distributed by NetObjects, Inc., marketed from 2001 until 2009 by Web.com (former called Website Pros), which acquired the application in 2001, and from July 2009 on distributed again by the re-established NetObjects, Inc. NetObjects Fusion has a graphical user interface and generates HTML or (since release 11) XHTML through its own proprietary database. Origin The origins of NetObjects Fusion date back to the 1980s. At Apple Computer, Samir Arora, David Kleinberg, and Sal Arora did research in early information navigation applications—before the term " browser" was born and Mosaic was invented. Development was transferred to the new-founded company Rae Technology, a spin-off from Apple Computer. At Rae, the two Arora brothers and David Kleinberg developed an object-oriented environment called SOLO (Structure of Linked Objects), which is the technological basis of NetObjects Fusion. Nitrosyl Fluoride
Nitrosyl fluoride (nitrogen, Noxygen, Ofluorine, F) is a covalent bond, covalently bonded nitrosyl compound. Reactions NOF is a highly reactive halogenation, fluorinating agent that converts many metals to their fluorides, releasing nitric oxide in the process: :''n'' NOF + M → MF''n'' + ''n'' NO NOF also fluorinates fluorides to form adducts that have a salt (chemistry), salt-like character, such as Nitrosonium tetrafluoroborate, NOBF4. Aqueous solutions of NOF are powerful solvents for metals, by a mechanism similar to that seen in aqua regia. Nitrosyl fluoride reacts with water (molecule), water to form nitrous acid, which then forms nitric acid: :NOF + H2O → HNO2 + HF :3 HNO2 → HNO3 + 2 NO + H2O Nitrosyl fluoride can also convert Alcohol (chemistry), alcohols to Nitrite#Organic nitrites, nitrites: :ROH + NOF → RONO + HF It has a bent molecular shape: this can be rationalized in the VSEPR theory, VSEPR model in terms of the lone-pair of electrons located on the ...
