Noel Teasdale
Noel Teasdale (born 2 January 1938) is a former Australian rules footballer who played in the VFL/AFL, Victorian Football League (VFL) and the South Australian National Football League (SANFL). Originally from Daylesford Football Club, Daylesford, Teasdale made his debut with the North Melbourne Football Club in 1956 playing as a ruckman and for a period, a full-back. Teasdale was noted for his tough, uncompromising play and in 1964 this almost cost him his life – as his head clashed with that of North teammate Ken Dean (Australian footballer), Ken Dean leaving him in a serious condition in St Vincent's Hospital, Melbourne, St. Vincent's Hospital. Midway through that same year, Teasdale came back to play for North, wearing a protective helmet, headguard due to medical advice. He also was the acting captain in the absence of injured skipper Allen Aylett. Daylesford Football Club
Daylesford Football Netball Club, nicknamed the Bulldogs, is an Australian rules football and netball club based in the Victorian town of Daylesford. The club plays in the Central Highlands Football League. The team was formerly known as the Daylesford Demons until 2006, when they joined the Central Highlands Football League. The club competed for many years in the Ballarat Football League winning only one premiership. In 1961, with the help of Jim Gull (ex player) who would kick the league goalkicking record of 159 goals ''the Demons'' won their only flag. The club fell quickly back to the bottom of the ladder and for many years the club struggled to be competitive before deciding in switching leagues in the early 2006. Daylesford's senior side has had a successful run since joining the Central Highlands Football League with three premiership wins in 2007, 2009 and 2012. West Torrens Football Club
West Torrens Football Club was an Australian rules football club that competed in the South Australian National Football League (SANFL) from 1897 to 1990. In 1991, the club merged with neighbouring Woodville Football Club to form the Woodville-West Torrens Eagles. With the proposed introduction of representative Districts for clubs in the SAFA the Native Club in 1896 derived its name from Electoral district of West Torrens and based itself in the western suburbs of Adelaide, around the western reaches of the River Torrens. Club history A precursor club in the district was the West Adelaide Football Club (1878–1887) that was founded in 1878 as the West Torrens and dissolved after just one season in the SAFA after changing its name to West Adelaide and wearing colours of Red, White and Blue in 1887.
