is the ninth studio album by Japanese idol duo Wink, released by Polystar on November 26, 1992. It features the singles "Furimukanaide" (a cover of The Peanuts' song) and " Real na Yume no Jōken". Also included in the album are Japanese-language covers of Vanessa Williams' " Save the Best for Last", Pat Benatar's Invincible, and Mr. Zivago's "Little Russian". The album peaked at No. 19 on Oricon's albums chart and sold over 26,000 copies. Wink (duo)
was a Japanese idol duo in the late 1980s and early-to-mid-1990s composed of and . They released their first single on April 27, 1988, and their final release was on March 31, 1996. Many of their singles topped the Oricon charts in Japan, including their biggest hit, "Samishii Nettaigyo". History In 1987, Sachiko Suzuki and Shoko Aida both entered a beauty contest given by the magazine ''Up to bBoy''. Suzuki won 7th place and formed Wink with 9th place winner Aida the next year, and in April they debuted with the single "Sugar Baby Love", a cover of an English song by The Rubettes. From that point on, many of Wink's early songs were covers of Western songs, but with Japanese lyrics; while many of their later songs were original works written by Japanese composers. Tokiko Iwatani
was a Japanese lyricist, poet, and translator. Born in Keijō, Seoul, Korea under Japanese rule, Korea, she moved with her family to Japan at the age of 5, where they settled in Nishinomiya, Hyogo Prefecture. After attending schools in her hometown she entered the English Literature Department of Kobe College, and graduated in 1939. She then joined the publishing department of the Takarazuka Revue, where she became acquainted with the future star Fubuki Koshiji. When Koshiji decided to leave the revue in 1951 to join Toei Company, Tōei and become an actress and singer, Iwatani also quit the company, and moved to Tokyo with Koshiji, whose manager she was for about 30 years, until Koshiji died in 1980. Simon Climie (born 7 April 1957) is an English songwriter/producer and the former lead singer of the UK duo Climie Fisher. Biography Climie was born in London. Beginning his career primarily as a songwriter/session musician, Climie found himself scoring early hits by the mid-1980s with compositions recorded by George Michael and Aretha Franklin ("I Knew You Were Waiting (for Me)") and Pat Benatar ("Invincible"). He also wrote songs appearing on albums by such artists as Frida, Smokey Robinson, and Jeff Beck during this time. Jonathan Gus Lind (April 14, 1948 – January 15, 2022), professionally known as Jon Lind, was an American songwriter, performer and A&R Executive Biography Lind was born in Brooklyn, New York on April 14, 1948, and raised in New York City. He studied classical guitar at the Mannes College of Music. His first break was in the 1970s where he worked with Bob Cavallo. At this period he met producer Maurice White who recorded his songs with Ramsey Lewis and Earth, Wind and Fire. He was also a member of the band Howdy Moon and The Fifth Avenue Band. He wrote songs for soulful artists such as Madonna, Cher, The Emotions, Jennifer Holliday, D.J. Rogers, Atlantic Starr and Ramsey Lewis. In 1984, Lind signed with Warner Brothers. He was a Senior Vice President of A&R at Hollywood Records. Lind died from cancer on January 15, 2022, at the age of 73. Wendy Waldman (born November 29, 1950) is an American singer, songwriter, and record producer. Biography Early life Waldman (born Wendy Steiner) grew up in the Los Angeles area. She was raised in a musical environment: her father Fred Steiner was a composer who wrote the theme music for Perry Mason and The Rocky and Bullwinkle Show. Her mother was a professional violinist. (born February 10, 1960) is a Japanese lyricist who has written J-pop and anime theme songs over her career. Biography Neko Oikawa was born in Wakayama, Wakayama. She made her songwriting debut in 1985 with Kanako Wada's "Passing Through", which won the Mitsubishi Minica Mascot Song Contest. During her time with Fuji Pacific Music, Oikawa wrote songs for numerous Japanese idols; most notably the duo Wink. In 1989, her song "Samishii Nettaigyo" for Wink won the Grand Prix at the 31st Japan Record Awards and the 22nd All Japan Wired Broadcasting Awards.
