Noah Qudah
Nuh Ali Salman al-Qudah (1939 – 19 December 2010) was a Jordanian Muslim scholar and the Grand Mufti of Jordan from 2007 to 2010. Career Qudah was born in Ain Jana in Ajloun in 1939. He went to Syria in 1954 to study at Islamic schools and he obtained a degree from the College of Sacred Law at Damascus University in 1965. Upon his return to Jordan he joined the Jordanian Armed Forces and became the mufti of the institution in 1972. He continued his studies in Egypt, and in 1980 he obtained a master's degree from Al-Azhar University in Cairo. At the Imam Muhammad ibn Saud Islamic University in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, he obtained a doctorate in 1986. Apart from his religious capacities he also served as the Jordanian ambassador to Iran between 1996 and 2001. Qudah was appointed by royal decree as Grand Mufti of the Kingdom of Jordan on 28 February 2007. Shafi'is
The Shafii ( ar, شَافِعِي, translit=Shāfiʿī, also spelled Shafei) school, also known as Madhhab al-Shāfiʿī, is one of the four major traditional schools of religious law (madhhab) in the Sunnī branch of Islam. It was founded by Arab theologian Muḥammad ibn Idrīs al-Shāfiʿī, "the father of Muslim jurisprudence", in the early 9th century. The other three schools of Sunnī jurisprudence are Ḥanafī, Mālikī and Ḥanbalī. List Of Ash'aris And Maturidis
The list of Ash'aris and Maturidis includes prominent adherents of the Ash'ari and Maturidi schools of thought. The Ash'aris are a doctrinal school of thought named after Imam Abu al-Hasan al-Ash'ari, and the Maturidi school is named for Abu Mansur al-Maturidi. These two schools are essentially one. However, they differ in terms of about forty matters. These differences, however, consist only matters of detail. Both Imam al-Ash'ari and Imam al-Maturidi were Sunni Muslims who lived during the time of the first three centuries after the time of the Prophetic revelation. Saad Hayel Srour
Saad Hayel Srour (born 1947) is a Jordanian politician. After entering the House of Representatives during the 11th Parliament he held stints as Minister of Water and Irrigation and later Housing and Works during the early 1990s. He served terms as Speaker of the House of Representatives during the 12th, 13th, 14th, 15th and 17th Parliaments. Between November 2010 and July 2011 he was Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister. Life Srour was born in 1947 in Umm el-Jimal. He is from a Bedouin family. He obtained a bachelor in civil engineering from the University of Riyadh in Saudi Arabia. Srour first entered the House of Representatives during the 11th Parliament. Faisal Akef Al-Fayez ( ar, فيصل عاكف مثقال الفايز) (born 20 December 1952 in Amman) is a Jordanian politician who was the 34th Prime Minister of Jordan from 25 October 2003 to 6 March 2005. He took office following the resignation of Ali Abu al-Ragheb. He resigned after being criticized for not being reformist enough. He previously served as defence minister and is close to the king.
