No Sleep Festival
No Sleep ( sr, Но слип / ''No slip'') is a music festival which is held at 8 locations in the city of Belgrade, Serbia. The festival was founded in 2017 in Novi Sad as a part of the EXIT Festival, influenced by the festival's No Sleep Novi Sad stage, which was introduced in 2002 as HappyNoviSad stage. The first edition of the festival was held during the first day of the EXIT festival, at the festival's Dance Arena, and it attracted 20,000 visitors. In 2018, it became a stand-alone festival, as it was moved from the Petrovaradin fortress to Belgrade. History The festival began in 2017 as a part of the EXIT Festival. During its existence, No Sleep has been visited by over 45,000 people from more than 60 countries. Resident Advisor, DJ Mag, XLR8R and many others have on numerous occasions praised No Sleep. ''XLR8R'' (pronounced "accelerator") is a website that covers music, culture, style, and technology. It was originally also a print magazine. History and profile ''XLR8R'' was founded as a newsprint zine in 1993 by publisher Andrew Smith in Seattle. It has offices in San Francisco and New York City. While ''XLR8R''’s initial focus was on electronic music, it has widened its scope to include indie rock, hip-hop, and reggae/ dancehall music as well as related trends in style, art, fashion, and technology. ''XLR8R'' was published 10 times per year and distributed internationally. Amelie Lens
Amelie Lens (, ; born 31 May 1990) is a Belgian electronic music DJ, record producer, and owner of the Lenske record label. Her debut release came on Italian imprint Lyase, and soon after a trio of releases on Pan-Pot's Second State. As a resident at Hasselt's Labyrinth Club, Lens started curating her own nights under the name EXHALE. Lens has expanded the EXHALE parties further afield, with regular showcases at the London's fabric club and at Creamfields, OFFSonar, Dour and Extrema festivals. Early life Amelie Lens was born as French in Vilvoorde. She changed her nationality to Belgian when she got older. Everyone from her mothers' side is from France and so is her grandmother who raised her. Lee Burridge
Lee Burridge (born November 1968) is a British DJ, producer, who helped launch the underground club scene in Hong Kong during the early 1990s, and today plays at nightclubs across the world. Renowned for his storytelling musical style in his DJ sets as well as for his energy and enthusiasm in the DJ booth, his style encompasses the deeper and groovier end of house and techno. Equally suited to night time as they are for sunrise or sunset events. Cassius was a French musical duo consisting of producers Philippe Cerboneschi and Hubert Blanc-Francard, better known as Zdar and Boombass (or sometimes Philippe Zdar and Hubert Boombass). Norman Quentin Cook (born Quentin Leo Cook, 31 July 1963), also known by his stage name Fatboy Slim, is an English musician, DJ, and record producer who helped to popularise the big beat genre in the 1990s. In the 1980s, Cook was the bassist for the Kingston upon Hull, Hull-based indie rock band the Housemartins, who achieved a UK number-one single with their a cappella cover of "Caravan of Love". The Port of Belgrade () is a cargo and passenger port located on the Danube river in Belgrade, Serbia. The port is located in the center of Belgrade, near Pančevo Bridge.
