Nkiru Njoku
Nkiru Njoku (born 1980) is a Nigerian screenwriter, writer and video producer. She is the head writer of M-net's ''Tinsel'', a Nigerian soap that started airing in 2008. In 2016 Njoku was the head content producer of ''Project Fame West Africa''. Screen shot from MTV Shuga Alone Together Ep. 52 directed by Njoku. Sol (Ayanda Makayi) talks to his sister Thuli Njoku was one of the lead writers on MTV Shuga Alone Together in 2020 where she wrote and remotely directed the actors in some of the 70 nightly episodes. Njoku wrote the final episode and it was directed by the other lead writer Tunde Aladese. ''Project Fame'', also known as ''Project Fame West Africa'' or ''MTN Project Fame West Africa'' (for sponsorship purposes), is a music talent TV reality show filmed in Lagos and aired in the West African subcontinent. It is a regional version of ''Star Academy'' reality series that was developed and is licensed worldwide by Endemol. MTV Shuga Alone Together
''Shuga'', also known as ''MTV Shuga'', is a television drama series that was first aired in November 2009 on MTV Base as part of an initiative dubbed "MTV Staying Alive Ignite!". Its first two seasons were commissioned by MTV Networks Africa in association with The MTV Staying Alive Foundation, PEPFAR, the Partnership for an HIV-Free Generation (HFG) and the Government of Kenya, as part of a multimedia campaign to spread the message about responsible sexual behaviour and tolerance. The term ''Shuga'' is derived from the pronunciation of "Sugar" in Kenyan English. Tunde Aladese
Tunde Aladese is a Nigerian actress and screenwriter. In 2018, she received an Africa Movie Academy Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role. In 2020 she wrote the 70 night drama for MTV Shuga which was filmed by the actors themselves from over four countries, with languages, English, Swahili, Yoruba, Hausa and Pidgin. It is a campaign focusing on the sexual health of young people between the ages 16 – 25.
