Abdalla Uba Adamu
Abdalla Uba Adamu (born 25 April 1956) is a Nigerian academic, educator, publisher and media scholar. He taught media and science education courses in many Nigerian universities and around the world, including serving as a European Union Visiting Professor at University of Warsaw, Poland, in 2012, visiting professor, Rutgers University, New Jersey, and visiting professor, University of Florida in 2010. Adamu holds double professorships in Science Education and Media and Cultural Communication, both from Bayero University, Kano, in 1997 and 2012 respectively. Adamu was Fulbright African Senior Research Scholar in 1991, he is also the developer of ‘hooked’ Hausa language character font sets (ɓ Ɓ ɗ Ɗ ƙ Ƙ), which were not present at the advent of the Internet. Chika Anadu
Chika Anadu is a Nigerian filmmaker best known for the film ''B for Boy'' (2013). She has also written and produced several short films. Anadu's films are known for tackling issues of gender discrimination and cultural pressures surrounding tradition in Nigeria. Early life Chika Anadu was born November 1980 in Lagos, Nigeria. When she was 16 she moved to England to continue her education. While there, she did her 'A' Levels, completed her first degree in Law and Criminology, and got an MA in African Studies: Human and Sustainable Development. In an interview with the New York Film Academy, Anadu states that she loved films throughout her early life, but it was not until 2006 that she thought of being a director as a realistic career for herself. Bolaji Amusan
Bolaji Amusan (born 15 October 1966), known by his comic persona Mr Latin, is a Nigerian comic actor, filmmaker, director and producer. Since 2018 he has been president of the Theatre Arts and Movie Practitioners Association of Nigeria. Early life and career Amusan was born at Gbongan, the headquarters of Aiyedaade Local Government Area in Osun State, southwestern Nigeria. He began acting in 1988, became a comedian in 1991, and acquired the name Mr Latin after he spoke French while acting in the 1992 film ''50-50'' produced by Akin Ogungbe, who mistook it for Latin.
