Kystbanen
Kystbanen ("The Coast Line") is a regional railway line between Helsingør (Elsinore) and Copenhagen in Denmark. It was opened in 1897, and is one of the busiest railway lines in Denmark. Kystbanen is operated by Danish State Railways (DSB). Its original terminus was Østerport Station, but when the station was connected with Copenhagen Central Station in 1917, the terminus moved there. When the Øresund Bridge opened in 2000, service extended to Malmö in Sweden, though the section between Copenhagen and Malmö is a separate railway, the Øresund Line. The railway services some well-known sights and locations such as Louisiana Museum of Modern Art in Humlebæk, Kronborg Castle in Elsinore, and Dyrehavsbakken in Klampenborg. Since 2023 Kystbanen has no longer been served by Øresund trains to Sweden, and is instead integrated into DSB's regional train network, with trains continuing from Copenhagen to stations on Zealand. Lotte Bundsgaard
Lotte Bundsgaard (born 20 January 1973) is a Danish schoolteacher, journalist and politician. She was born in Nivå to Jørgen Bundsgaard and Hanne Lund Bundsgaard. She married Søren Thorsager in 1999. She was elected member of Folketinget for the Social Democrats from 1998 to 2007. She was Minister for Towns and Homes and Minister for Equal Rights in Poul Nyrup Rasmussen's fourth cabinet from December 2000 to November 2001.. Accessed on 4 July 2019. Øresund
Øresund or Öresund (, ; ; ), commonly known in English as the Sound, is a strait which forms the Denmark–Sweden border, Danish–Swedish border, separating Zealand (Denmark) from Scania (Sweden). Nivaagaard
Nivaagaard is a historic property in Nivå in the northern outskirts of Copenhagen, Denmark. It is now home to an art gallery and the park is open to the public. History The estate was founded in 1767 by Adam von Lüttichau when he purchased Nivaa Havnegård ("Nivaa Harbour House") from the Crown. The property was from the beginning associated with the Galley Harbour at Nivaa which was planned in 1753 but soon abandoned. The name Nivaagaard was introduced in 1793. The estate was acquired by Alfred Hage (1803–1872), Alfred Hage in 1862. Alfred Hage's eldest son, Johannes Hage, inherited the estate in 1872. The main building was severely damaged in a fire in 1873. A new main building was completed to design by Ferdinand Vilhelm Jensen in 1881. Alfred Hage (1803–1872)
Peter Anton Alfred Hage (31 December 1803 – 6 March 1872) was a Danish merchant, politician, landowner, patron of the arts and philanthropist. Early life and education Hage was born in Stege on the island of Møn, the son of merchant Christopher Friedenreich Hage and Christiane Arnette Hage née Just (1778–1866). The Hage family was of Dutch origins and had counted merchants at least since the 17th century. Hage was the brother of Hother Hage and Johannes Dam Hage (1800–1837). Intended for an academic career, he stayed in the household of pastor D. P. Smith in Horslunde as part of the preparations for his further studies. Career Hage was, however, more interested in following in his father's footsteps and therefore joined his company at the age of 16. He showed a remarkable talent for the trade and already became a partner in 1828. Marie Hammer
Marie Signe Hammer née Jørgensen (1907–2002) was a Danish zoologist and entomologist who specialized in moss mites. In the 1930s and 1940s, she undertook research in Iceland, the Faroe Islands and Greenland. She later extended her investigations to North and South America, New Zealand, and Asia, discovering some 150 new genera and almost a thousand new species. Her research supported the dispersal of species as a result of continental drift as described in her 1979 thesis together with John Anthony Wallwork titled ''A Review of the World Distribution of oribatid mites in Relation to Continental Drift''. Fredensborg Municipality () is a municipality ( Danish, '' kommune'') in Region Hovedstaden (Capital Region). The municipality covers an area of 112.13 km2 and has a total population of 42,186 (as of 1. January 2025). Golf Course
A golf course is the grounds on which the sport of golf is played. Hans-Georg Tersling
Hans-Georg Tersling (7 December 1857 – 13 November 1920) was a Danish architect who lived and worked for most of his life on the French Riviera where he became one of the most significant and productive architects of the Belle Époque. His work mainly consisted of designing mondain hotels, villas and mansions for members of the French and European aristocracy and other elite who resided in the area. His style was the Neoclassical Louis Seize style and he drew on inspiration from the Italian Renaissance.
