Niral Enem Horo
Niral Enem Horo (1925–2008) was an Indian politician and a former member of the Lok Sabha. He represented Khunti in 4th and 5th Lok Sabha. He was associated with the Jharkhand Party and served as a minister in the government of Bihar. He was the losing candidate for Vice President of India in the 1974 election. Early life Horo was born on March 31, 1925, to Abraham Horo at Govindpur village, Ranchi district. He began his education at Zila School, Ranchi. He earned a B.A. from St. Columba's College, Hazaribagh and a B.L. from Chotanagpur Law College in Ranchi. He married Lilian Alice Horo on March 15, 1951. The couple had five sons. Political career Horo was associated with the Jharkhand Party from the beginning of his public life. Hazaribagh
Hazaribagh is a city and a municipal corporation in Hazaribagh district in the Indian state of Jharkhand. It is the divisional headquarters of North Chotanagpur division. It is considered as a health resort and is also popular for Hazaribagh Wildlife Sanctuary ( from city). It is represented in the Indian Lok Sabha by its Member of Parliament Jayant Sinha. Etymology The name of the town 'Hazaribagh' (हज़ारीबाग़) is derived from two Persian words: ''Hazar'' (هزار) meaning 'one thousand' and ''bagh'' (باغ) meaning 'garden'. Hence the meaning of Hazaribagh is 'city of a thousand gardens'. According to Sir John Houlton, however, the town takes its name from the small villages of Okni and Hazari – shown on old maps as Ocunhazry. Bihar Legislative Assembly
The Bihar Legislative Assembly, also known as the Bihar Vidhan Sabha, is the lower house of the Bihar Legislature where the first elections were held in 1952. The total strength of membership in the Assembly was 331, including one nominated member. Dr.Shri Krishna Singh became the first Leader of the House and the first Chief Minister, Dr. Anugrah Narayan Singh was elected as the first Deputy Leader of the Assembly and became state's first Deputy Chief Minister. It was reduced to 318 during the second General Elections. In 1977, the total number of elected members of the Bihar Legislative Assembly was further raised from 318 to 325. Lok Sabha
The Lok Sabha, constitutionally the House of the People, is the lower house of India's bicameral Parliament, with the upper house being the Rajya Sabha. Members of the Lok Sabha are elected by an adult universal suffrage and a first-past-the-post system to represent their respective constituencies, and they hold their seats for five years or until the body is dissolved by the President on the advice of the council of ministers.
