Nir Klinger
Nir Klinger ( he, ניר קלינגר; born 25 May 1966) is an Israeli football coach and former player. During the 1990s, Klinger served as Captain for Maccabi Tel Aviv and the Israel national football team. He was the coach of Maccabi Tel Aviv for three seasons, before resigning under pressure on 5 December 2005. As coach of Maccabi, Klinger won the Israeli championship and an Israeli state cup. Playing career Club A product of the Maccabi Haifa youth team, he was a defensive player. He made his league debut for Maccabi on 3 November 1984 against Hakoah Ramat Gan, when he came on as a substitute in the 80th minute. He spent six seasons with Maccabi Haifa before moving to Maccabi Tel Aviv for eight seasons. He won two Israeli championships with Maccabi Haifa and three championships and another two Israel State Cup with Maccabi Tel Aviv. He retired due to injury during the 1997–98 season. Liga Leumit ( he, ליגה לאומית, lit. ''National League'') is the second division of the Israeli Football League, and below its Premier League. Structure There are 16 clubs in the league. At the end of each season, the two lowest-placed teams are relegated to Liga Alef while the two highest-placed teams from Liga Alef are promoted in their place. The two highest-placed Liga Leumit teams are promoted to the Israeli Premier League while the bottom two teams from Israeli Premier League are relegated in their place. Felix Naim ( he, פליקס נעים) is an Israeli former football player and currently the manager of Hapoel Afula. Sports career Naim was a handball player who played for Maccabi Kiryat Motzkin and for the Israel U-18 team. He turned into football when he was 18 years old when he started to play for HaTzair Haifa youth team and then moved to play for the senior side of Maccabi Neve Sha'anan, there he played with Eli Guttman. He moved to France there he played a bit in the fifth tier. From 1997 til 2001 he worked as Guttman's scout, Naim was the one who brought Đovani Roso to play in Israel. Later on Naim stopped working for Guttman and decided to start his career as a manager in clubs from the lower divisions in Israel. He has spent the majority of his career coaching and managing in Israel, winning a number of national league and cup victories with different teams, and also managing the Israel national team for four years.
