Ningxiang No. 1 High School
Ningxiang No. 1 High School (), commonly abbreviated as (Ningxiang) Yizhong (), is a public coeducational high school in Yutan Subdistrict of Ningxiang, Hunan, China. History Ningxiang No. 1 High School traces its history back to the former Old-style Private School of Zhou Family (), founded by educater Zhu Jianfan () in 1905, and it was renamed Zhounan Girls' School () in 1907 and then Zhounan Female Normal School () in the fellowing year. In 1912, Hunan Provincial No.1 Female Normal School () was founded by Zhu Jianfan. Part of the school was separated, and girls' school was established, initially called Private Zhounan School for Girls (). After the outbreak of the Second Sino-Japanese War in 1937 (and the resulting expansion of Japanese territorial control in east China), the school moved to Xiangtan, Loudi, Anhua successively. Yutan Subdistrict () is a subdistrict in Ningxiang City, Hunan Province, China. Zeng Xianzhi
Zeng Xianzhi (; 23 January 1910 – 11 October 1989) was a Chinese people, Chinese revolutionary and politician. In the late 1920s and early 1930s, girls in schools was a new thing, but Zeng was a member of the girls' basketball team in school. She became a "student soldier" in a branch campus of Whampoa Military Academy. Zeng was one of the first female soldiers in China during the Revolution. After the establishment of the Communist State, she spent over 40 years working in the All-China Women's Federation. She devoted all her life to the Chinese women's rights movement. Xiang Jingyu
Xiang Jingyu (, – , ''née'' Xiang Junxian), was one of the earliest female members of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), widely regarded as a pioneer of the women's movement of China. Early life Xiang Jingyu was born in Xupu, Hunan province on 4 September 1895. Her father was Xiang Ruiling, may have been of the Tujia ethnicity, a successful businessman, and her mother was Deng Yugui, who died when Xiang Jingyu was young. She had ten siblings. Xiang Jingyu's one brother, Xiang Xianyue, who had studied in Japan, was a leader of Tongmenghui in West Hunan. Xiang Xianyue founded a primary school in Wenchangge in 1903.
