Nines Lives Media is a Manchester-based television production company in the United Kingdom. It was formed in September 2007 by Cat Lewis. The company makes a range of television programming including documentaries, factual entertainment formats, drama documentaries, children's programmes, and current affairs for all the major UK broadcasters and for some American channels. Nine Lives Media is one of two companies with an output deal for Channel 4's current affairs strand, '' Dispatches''. Cat Lewis
Cat Lewis (born 23 March 1965) is a British TV executive producer and the founder and CEO of Nine Lives Media. Early life and background Lewis was born Catriona Margaret Pettigrew on 23 March 1965 in Rajkot, India. Her family returned to live in England when she was 3-years-old and her school years were spent in Stockton-on-Tees, where she attended Ian Ramsay C. of E. School and Stockton Sixth Form. Her father is mountaineer Bob Pettigrew and her mother, Deana Addison was Head of Religious Education at The Norton School in Stockton-on-Tees. They separated when they returned from India. Her mother married Lewis's step-father Terence Michael Addison, who worked as an engineer and consultant to the steel industry. ''Small Teen, Bigger World'' was a four-part documentary following the life of a teenager with dwarfism, Jasmine Burkitt (full name Jasmine Emily Wakefield-Burkitt), and details her family and life. It was the second series to follow Jasmine's life, following the hour-long documentary ''Small Teen, Big World'', which aired in July 2010. Small Teen, Bigger World aired during the summer of 2011, and was part of the 'Extraordinary Me' season on BBC Three. The Royal Television Society (RTS) is a British-based educational charity for the discussion, and analysis of television in all its forms, past, present, and future. Myra Hindley
The Moors murders were carried out by Ian Brady and Myra Hindley between July 1963 and October 1965, in and around Manchester, England. The victims were five children—Pauline Reade, John Kilbride, Keith Bennett, Lesley Ann Downey, and Edward Evans—aged between 10 and 17, at least four of whom were Sexual assault, sexually assaulted. The bodies of two of the victims were discovered in 1965, in graves dug on Saddleworth Moor; a third grave was discovered there in 1987, more than twenty years after Brady and Hindley's trial. Bennett's body is also thought to be buried there, but despite repeated searches it remains undiscovered. The pair were charged only for the murders of Kilbride, Downey and Evans, and received life imprisonment, life sentences under a whole life tariff. Ruby Wax (; born 19 April 1953) is an American-British actress, comedian, writer, television personality, and mental health campaigner. Jonny Benjamin MBE (born 1987) is a British mental health campaigner, author and vlogger. In January 2014 he launched a social media campaign called Find 'Mike' to search for a stranger who had talked him out of taking his own life in 2008. The purpose of the campaign was to raise awareness of suicide and mental illness. It went viral and received global media attention. Within just two weeks Jonny found the stranger he was looking for, Neil Laybourn.
