Nils Weyer Arveschoug (1807–1894) was a Norwegian lawyer and politician. Skoger
Skoger is a village located on the border between Buskerud and Vestfold counties, Norway. Of its population of 1,082 as of 2005, 654 were registered as residents of Drammen whereas 428 live in Sande in Vestfold county, Norway. History Historically the area had large forested areas, and much arable land. Reference to Skoger is made in the land register maintained by Bishop Eystein Erlendsson (''Biskop Eysteins jordebok''). The parish of ''Skouger'' was established as a municipality January 1, 1838 under of the law of formannskapsdistrikt. This provision of the Constitution of Norway, required that every parish (Norwegian: ''prestegjeld'') form a local self-government district. Skoger with 1,837 inhabitants merged with Strømsgodset with 731 inhabitants, as well as an uninhabited part of Eiker on January 1, 1844. The enlarged Skoger municipality had a population of 2,568. The county governor ( nb, statsforvalteren; nn, statsforvaltaren, lit. ''state administrator'' in English) is a Norwegian government agency that represents the central government administration in every county in Norway. Kunnskapsforlaget () is a Norwegian publishing company based in Oslo. Kunnskapsforlaget was established in 1975, as a partnership between H. Aschehoug & Co. (W. Nygaard) and Gyldendal Norsk Forlag. The purpose was to co-operate on publishing encyclopaedias and dictionaries. The first volume of Store norske leksikon (SNL) was published in 1978. A total of four editions was published (the last one in 2004), before the online version was transferred to Institusjonen Fritt Ord og Sparebankstiftelsen DnB in 2011. Kunnskapsforlaget is the largest dictionary publisher in Norway. They publish both printed books, and digital dictionaries that are available through the online service Ordnett (launched in 2004). Møre og Romsdal (; en, Møre and Romsdal) is a county in the northernmost part of Western Norway. It borders the counties of Trøndelag, Innlandet, and Vestland. Molde (town)
Molde () is a List of towns and cities in Norway, city in Molde Municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. The city is located along the Moldefjorden and the river Molde (river), Molde. The city is the largest urban and commercial centre of the Romsdal region as well as the administrative centre of Molde Municipality and of Møre og Romsdal county. Lars Bastian Ridder Stabell
Lars Bastian Ridder Stabell (27 April 1798–13 January 1860) was a politician in Denmark–Norway. He was born in Copenhagen, Denmark in 1798 to M.H. Stabell and his wife. He entered the military service in 1812 as a cadet. By 1814, he was a Second Lieutenant in a regiment based in Akershus and he participated in the Swedish–Norwegian War in that year. By 1817 he had left military service and became a student. He graduated with a cand.jur. degree in 1822. He worked as a civil servant in Rakkestad and in the Oslo area for a few years before being named to the post of County Governor of Nordlands amt in 1834. He held the governorship until 1847. During that time, in 1842, he was elected to the Norwegian Parliament representing Nordland county. He served only one term.
