Paul Peter Vilhelm Breder
Paul Peter Vilhelm Breder (10 April 1816–15 January 1890) was a Norwegian civil servant, lawyer, and politician. He was born in Halden, Norway in 1816 and died in Drammen in 1890. From 1854 to 1858 he was County Governor of Nordlands amt. Halden
Halden (), between 1665 and 1928 known as Fredrikshald, is both a town and a municipality in Viken county, Norway. The municipality borders Sarpsborg to the northwest, Rakkestad to the north and Aremark to the east, as well as the Swedish municipalities Strömstad, Tanum and Dals-Ed respectively to the southwest, south and southeast. The seat of the municipality, Halden is a border town located at the mouth of the Tista river on the Iddefjord, the southernmost border crossing between Norway and Sweden. The town of Halden is located about south of Oslo, north of Gothenburg, and east of the border crossing at Svinesund Bridge, Svinesund. Storting
The Storting ( no, Stortinget ) (lit. the Great Thing) is the supreme legislature of Norway, established in 1814 by the Constitution of Norway. It is located in Oslo. The unicameral parliament has 169 members and is elected every four years based on party-list proportional representation in nineteen multi-seat constituencies. A member of Stortinget is known in Norwegian as a ''stortingsrepresentant'', literally "Storting representative". Kunnskapsforlaget () is a Norwegian publishing company based in Oslo. Kunnskapsforlaget was established in 1975, as a partnership between H. Aschehoug & Co. (W. Nygaard) and Gyldendal Norsk Forlag. The purpose was to co-operate on publishing encyclopaedias and dictionaries. The first volume of Store norske leksikon (SNL) was published in 1978. A total of four editions was published (the last one in 2004), before the online version was transferred to Institusjonen Fritt Ord og Sparebankstiftelsen DnB in 2011. Kunnskapsforlaget is the largest dictionary publisher in Norway. They publish both printed books, and digital dictionaries that are available through the online service Ordnett (launched in 2004). Their main languages are English and Norwegian, but they also have dictionaries in 21 other languages. In September 2018, Gyldendal Norsk Forlag became the single owner of the company. The ''Great Norwegian Encyclopedia'' ( no, Store Norske Leksikon, abbreviated ''SNL''), is a Norwegian-language online encyclopedia. Drammen () is a city and municipality in Viken (county), Viken, Norway. The port and river city of Drammen is centrally located in the south-eastern and most populated part of Norway.
