Nikos Pettas
Nikolaos "Nikos" Pettas (Greek: Νικόλαος "Νίκος" Πέττας; born February 28, 1981) is a Greek professional basketball player. He is a 6 ft 4 in (1.95 m) tall shooting guard-small forward. Professional career Pettas began playing basketball with the junior teams of Olympiacos. With the senior men's team of Olympiacos, he played in the 1997 McDonald's Championship Final, against the Chicago Bulls. The first season of his pro career, was in the Greek League, during the 1998–99 season. He played in the European-wide 3rd-tier level FIBA EuroChallenge, during the 2007–08 season, with Olympias Patras. National team career Pettas was a member of the junior national teams of Greece. The Greek B Basket League, or Greek B Basketball League (Greek: Ελληνική Β Μπασκετ Λιγκ), is a national basketball league in Greece. 2007–08 FIBA EuroCup
The FIBA EuroCup is the former name of an international professional basketball club competition for clubs throughout Europe that was renamed the FIBA EuroChallenge in July 2008. The 2007–08 season, the last for the competition under the EuroCup banner, featured 38 competing teams, from 23 different countries. The draw for the groups was held on August 5, 2007, at the Kempinski Hotel in Munich. FIBA EuroChallenge
FIBA EuroChallenge (called the FIBA Europe League in 2003–05, and FIBA EuroCup in 2005–08) was the 3rd-tier level transnational men's professional continental club basketball competition in Europe, from 2003 to 2015. It was organized and run by FIBA Europe. It is not to be confused with the FIBA EuroCup Challenge – the now defunct 4th-tier level transnational men's professional continental club basketball competition in Europe, which was also organized and run by FIBA Europe, and played during the 2002–03 to 2006–07 seasons.
